We loved Barnes Bay where the original ferry landing. The water was crystal clear. Great spot to have a break. We loved Bruny. The whole island was beautiful. It was just peaceful and perfect.

Only just saw your footage of Bruny,been going there since the mid seventies, early days with my mate and his parents who had a shack at adventure Bay at the time, later with my crew for surf trips to cloudy etc, awesome place lots of history. Haha. James with the sand in the pockets is great. Many years ago my then 4yo asked me why I looked tired, I explained to him I’d been having trouble sleeping. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a handful of random rocks and told me “These are sleep rocks, they’ll help you sleep if you have them next to your bed”.

The full Fluted Cape walk is spectacular but a parents’ nightmare if you have young kids (or in-laws) prone to tripping over. The track is quite steep and is very close to cliff edge all the way up to the top. We did see a walker in Crocs though which made us laugh. The pluggers probably wouldn’t have made the round trip.
