I was watching the video thinking what would I take with me would i ever drive the Dakar Rally? And then i saw the final shot of the motor all alone, realizing he couldnt take most of that preparation gear. Sooo scary being out there all alone!

I don't remember athletes from NATO countries or their teams were not allowed to compete after the bombing of Yugoslavia, Iraq or Libya, for example. According to your logic, all the countries involved in the invasions cannot field athletes and teams in competitions, as they represent the flags of the aggressor countries. I'll tell you more and people will tell you in the comments. Kamaz is not something that fits into Dakar, it is associated with it. This team has proven it achieves honest victories while helping other participants in the race.

Rally drivers are some of the best in the world. Few decades ago, in the US, they used to run a race series called IROC - International Race of Champions. They put drivers from all different backgrounds in the same cars and they raced different courses, mostly NASCAR tracks but a few road courses as well. Rally drivers were pretty consistently winning, esp the road courses.
