I love Hermés very much. To me this brand means sophistication. The 'Jardin' fragrances are real gemstones, I love all of them. My personal favourite is Jardin Sur Le Nil with that distinct green mango note. I also love Hiris and Eau De Pamplemousse Rose Concentrée. Unfortunately, Hermessence fragrances are not so accessible. I would like to try some of them, e.g. Iris Ukiyoé or Violette Volynka. Great brand!

I love Terre d'Hermès and the flankers are really good too. I love the intense vetiver version. The whole Un jardin range is part of my favourites fragrances. I also really enjoy their colognes (eau de citron noir, pamplemousse rose, rhubarbe écarlate...) and Kelly Calèche. This house have an effortless chic DNA. This "less is more" that I find typically French 😉

I like the fact that Hermès has an in-house perfumer as JC Ellena. Terre is such a milestone, that most of the earlier Hermès's masculine wardrobe was built among powerhouses with a leather note -Equipage, Bel Ami, etc. These and other masterpieces went through some nicely done revamps, under their master perfumer's supervision. From a designer brand, that is a strong point to their favor. Their unisex marketed collections are right up there with some niche brands -the Jardins and Hermèssences. I know a fellow subscriber in South America🤣 who is happy to have his request filled out -with this video. Thanks a lot, Josephine!

Absolutely. Having an in-house perfumer makes a big difference but also at Hermes they have more creative liberty to create fragrances compared to say a YSL or Dior. After all Hermes CEO said he doesn't care about trends, Hermes sets them!

When it comes to fragrances Hermes is my favorite designer brand. I wear Jour and Le Jardin sur le nil in the summer and L'ambre des Merveilles in the winter. I can't wait to try the Lagune one. It sounds like something I would love. (My least favorite is Faubourg - way too powdery.)

Hermes and Chanel are my favorite designer brands. Just made the mistake and smell the edt of Voyage d'Hermes, and bought the edp..... Much different fragrances, original is much more interesting. Also one of my favorite of Hermes, beyond of what you mentioned, is Concentre d'orange verte. So realistic, so beautiful!! Love your reviews! You have so elegant taste! I want to ask you if you have any opinion about Paris - Édimbourg of Chanel. It is in my wish list, but i can not find any store to smell in my country. Thank you!

I couldn't agree with you more about this "elevated skin-scent", it is so moreish you want to keep going back to it. Also it's definitely unisex in my opinion although I do love fragrances that can lead slightly feminine. Teo Cabanel's Rendezvous is a current favourite of mine. I am a man. I despise most perfume; I often find it offensive and overpowering. The two exceptions are Caleche and Kelly from Hermes, which sadly are not mentioned here. I like the EdT better than EdP though- fresher and also funnily longer lasting. Other favourites from Hermes are Eau des Merveilles Bleue and Eau de Rhubarbe.

Hi Jus, I got all the flankers of Terre d'Hermes and I must say, I prefer the Pure Parfume version. I know the top notes are not like the EDT version (fresher), BUT the notes are blended better and so well in the Parfum version (even the top notes). The vetiver and the quality is so good in this version. It has the best drydown of all flankers. It's deeper more masculine. As a Niche Parfum lover I use the Pure Parfum more :-)

Nice video Jus, I still remember wearing Hermes EDT on an event long time ago. Will add to my wish list ( thanks to the Pandemic ) the Eau de Citron Noir, truly agree on the quality of this brand. They have a huge stand in Saks Fifth Avenue, just close to the main entrance, with lots of different products. Can't remember, though, when was the last time I bought an Hermes scent. Eau des merveilles has been one of my most complimented fragrances of all times and Sur la Lagune is one of my favorite summer scents with impressive longevity until the next day of apply. Got my bottle of Eau de Citron Noir this morning, as your descriptions made it sound like it would be right up my alley. Citrus "freshies" are all good and fine... but a "dark" citrus!? That sounded awesome, and indeed I am lovvvvvving it so far (2 hours in). To my nose, the citrus is more subtle and well-blended, which is awesome because I am in LOVE with the smokey-ambroxan vibe. Lately, I've lost my fragrance sweet tooth, and it's so hard to find non-sweet summer fragrances, so thank you very much for this incredible find!

Love Hermes. My favs from designer line are TDH eau tres fraich(more orangy fresh version), un jarding en meditiranee, Concentre-d-Orange-Verte, elixir de marveilles(salty amber) etc. And from high end line i love epice marine, vetiver tonka, cuir ange, ambre narguile. All great ones but so pricey.

IMHO, Hermes doesn't get enough play in frag comm ! I only have Terre D'hermes (Parfum) and Bel Ami Vetiver (EDP) in my collection. I get numerous compliments with Terre D'Hermes . . . not so much with Bel Ami Vetiver. ( I wear both when suited up ) Voyage sounds interesting, as does Eau De Citron Noir ! Thanks for the introduction to these . . . My history with Hermes has always left me with a definite experience of enduring quality. Thanks as always for sharing !

Big fan of Hermes. Have Terre Parfum in my collection and but really enjoy many others I have sampled including a few of the Jardin line - although I need to get my nose on the Lagune as an option for my GF (she often wears Jardin en Mediterranee). I have Elixir des Merveilles and it makes me crazy! I thought it was the original.. And I also have Eau Des Merveilles Bleue which I didn’t like at first, not until I smelled the Elixir because after that I could smell the Merveilles DNA in the bleue version .. do you like that one at all? I probably won’t ever wear it because I love my Elixir.

Josephine Please help me understand why Hermès Eau D'Orange Verte EDC is always ignored. Is it because it has a 5 minute lifespan, or its cheap or somthing else?
