BEST OF ENGLAND | STONEHENGE & BATH 🇬🇧

Stonehenge and Bath are incredible! Great that they're showing visitors how the Neolithlic builders of Stonehenge may have lived. I'm with Carol that that Bath hot spring water seem to taste somewhat like . .. bath water! What's fascinating is that almost as soon as the Romans heard word about the natural hot mud spring that the locals considered sacred, they made a beeline to that then- remote area near the Welsh lands and engineered it to filter the hot water out of the hot mud and built that temple because they LOVED baths and this was one of the rare baths in the Roman Empire that didn't need to have ovens built to artificially heat them! What's also amazing is that for many centuries after the Empire fell and the temple collapsed, people forgot about the existence of the Roman era baths- despite the city still being named BATH the whole time! Those spots are great highlights in England and I thank you for sharing with us more spectacular footage while appreciating their value!

My reaction to that same tour was underwhelmed by Stonehenge and pleasantly surprised by Bath also. Beautiful countryside to ride through. Your videography continues to be fantastic.

Exactly. Stonehenge looked more impressive when the Griswolds destroyed it in "European Vacation" (and that's damning the movie with faint praise). So, skip Stonehenge, but the city of Bath looks like a great visit.

I love bath. Been here 20 year ago. was not so impresed with Stonehenge. The guide brought us to a pib where we has yorkshire pudding.with roasted beef. Lovely lunch.

Your channel popped up when I was researching travel in Turkiye. Watched all those and continuing with you around Greece and the Middle East. It's refreshing to see a young married couple seeking quieter places and not the party hot spots, or looking for all the Insta photo opps. Your vibe is so perfectly chill, yet still with just enough interesting history, local flavor (local dishes w/o major restaurant reviews, briefly showing prices, mentioning transport options, etc), that it's easy to watch 10+ in a row. You used to be able to touch the stones at Stonehenge, but they had to keep people back bcos tourists were desecrating them. Always the way, the few ruin it for the many It felt bigger when you could walk amongst them 🙋‍♀️🇬🇧🤪💖

A brief vlogging question for Chris… I recently purchased a GoPro camera and I want to start taking quality scenic videos of my surrounding area (I live near the Napa Valley in California).
