In a way, Larry and his Mom were right. In the 4th week of embryo development there is something that forms called 'gill arches'. They aren't actually gills in the traditional sense because a baby essentially "breathes" through its mother's blood, which comes through the umbilical cord in the form of oxygenated blood. The Gill Arches do form in the same area as many other invertebrate embryos, and may in fact be an evolutionary connection between us and fish. So Larry, don't beat your self up buddy! They can all laugh, but at least you and your mom were partially right! 😃

Very late to this reply, but the reason it works for Nest is because they are a group of streamers. So griefing in the grand scheme is just more video content and entertainment.
