MMT 105 TX soft stepped once… absolutely amazing! Also I can agree with Mikey, anyone playing the modus but may want to move to graphite, I’d highly recommend the mmt. For me it was seamless and I’m so glad I made the change. As someone that been in construction for over 25 years, it’s nice not to take the beating you sometimes get with steel

I had major hand surgery in 2000. A torn muscle reattached in 2006. Graphite allowed me to continue playing.

I went from 120g steel to a MMT 105s in my JPX 925 HM. I don't know if I've seen any performance benefits, but certainly nothing negative. I've noticed a huge improvement in my elbow pain after a round though. I'll definitely be going all graphite in the future.

Yep I found mostly the same. Modus to steelfiber as a trial. No real negatives, not 100% sure any big advantage dispersion wise versus steel. But massive advantage in no elbow or wrist pains at all after practice or a round, even when doing a long session at the range hitting off mats. Ive been so sold on graphite now that I went and got Axioms with my new set.

That's exactly, what I tell my customers during the fitting process. The main difference between Graphite and Steel is their given vibration dampening properties. In most cases, graphite reduces those vibrations making it easier on the joints. Mainly wrist and elbow pain should be significantly less, when going from steel to graphite. And - in theory - you can do many more things in a graphite shaft from a design standpoint (not graphics, but EI profile) compared to steel.

I recently pulled my MMT 105s and put in a set of the accra green in 125g. I've had 3 consecutive 40-point stableford rounds in my club comps since changing. So happy with them. Amazing feel.

I went from Project X LZ to MMT this year. Was able to drop shaft weight from 120 to 105 in x flex which led to a little more speed. MMT launched lower and brought spin down about 400 rpm as well. I’m sold on graphite

@ I’ve played a few shafts before. Modus 120, project x lz 6.0. Just found the axioms out performed them all. They aren’t for everyone. But the black shafts, grip master grips it looks sexy which is an added bonus

Went from DG to MMT and will never go back to steel. I find that the Graphite dulls down any vibrations or negative feel in a golf shot but I can still feel where I strike the ball on the face. I'm a fan.

Good to see Mikey back and involved more. Great work on that many swings!! Interesting feedback from Mikey at the end as when he was hitting the Steelfiber, it looked like he was hitting them really well without much effort. I've tested many of the shafts used here and many others, I ended up recently switching from PX 6.0 to Steelfiber 110's still and really glad I made the switch as I was having injury issues and the switch has helped. I think it just goes to show, you really need to test yourself with your own swing as what is good for one person may not be the right thing for the next person. Enjoyed the video though... good stuff as always.

Pro at my course used an optimizer for me, ending up with 4 shaft options and I went with dynamic gold 105 and it definitely made a difference for me (kbs tour) was original shaft in my 23 p790s

Good comparisons. I've been playing around a bit with shafts. Can't see that it's making much difference in results but I do appreciate the different feels. Going for a Titleist fitting in a couple of weeks. Will be interesting what shaft/head combo works best on that day.

As a player, I've found that looking at the descriptions of the shafts on the maker's website is interesting. Some shafts are better fitted to smooth tempo, others aggressive, some shafts launch higher and/or spin more, some less. There's so much more than weight and stiffness! It does give me a little pause when thinking of ordering DTC irons because there are so many shaft options to choose from and my current choice might not be the best with a different head.

Thanks for the info. MMT seems tip heavy, me and my friend both got mmt 105s, and observed that the swing weight increased by 2-3 compare to the same weight graphite shaft. I like heavy sw feeling so no complains about it.

Sent the old man for an iron fitting (retro, wanted to keep the Zx5MKII heads) and to SGGT. Explicitly requested he try plenty of graphite and get over his bias/ego. To my surprise he came away with the old pink panther, Autoflex 50 gram and the transformation in strike and ball flight has been remarkable. Making me think I need to book myself in and keep an open mind

I switched to KBS graphite in my irons last yr and will never go back to steel. Better feel for me. Consistency is a non factor comparatively to steel. There was no discernible difference. Granted I don't have excessively high swing speed so that's factor. Flight is better and far less stress on the joints. Something I had doubted but found out it's a truth.

Playing mmt 105tx for a year now because of pain issues. By far not as consistent as tt steal shafts with the same head and almost same weight. SS about 90mph with 7i. Feel is very good though.

Do you have recoil shafts, I got fitted into the recoil dart regular, into stealth irons, the lightest I could get, but to be honest, it feels stiffer than my old ping g10 stiff graphite stock shafts….. my only problem with these is I can’t seem to feel where the club head is, the weight is fine for my swing, but I can’t seem to feel any flex at the tip for feedback on club head at impact…. Can you offer any advise on another shaft to try?

As with anything, feel is subjective so go get fitted or just go and try things. I love KBS $taper shafts and tried the modus 120 but didn't really care for it. It's fine, but my balls got way too high and spinny for what ball flight I like.

I don’t understand the stigma that still exists with graphite shafts. The same person who says they aren’t stable or are inconsistent, buys an up charge shaft for their driver and woods🤨. I play S-flex Aerotech 125’s. I like the solid heavy feel without having to play X-stiff irons. And I like the dampening you get from graphite. My Nippon G.O.S.T shaft in my Srixon driving iron is a great combo of the 2 worlds.
