In Groucho's next show after YBYL ended, "Tell it to Groucho", Groucho hired Joy to kind of take the role of George introducing the guests. The show was very short lived. You can find some of the episodes on KZbin.

The days when no matter what aspirations a woman had, she had to eventually abandon them to be a housewife. Either that or get sideways glances from everyone for the rest of her life.

@@ianmichalski7997 Unfortunately, yes. As a male, it saddens me that back then women were pressured by society to just be a wife, mother, cook and housecleaner. You had to be married by 21 or people would think something was wrong with you. Who I admire are the women who DID pursue life careers that required higher education and delaying marriage.

People have it so twisted. Women have it the best they've ever had it in history right now in our current day society, but the paradox remains. suic--- rates, and depression rates are the highest they've ever been for women right now, as well. Hmmm. I wonder why that is? The answers obvious. When you fight nature, nature fights back, and will indefinitely leave you feeling completely Hollow.
