Driving there should be as difficult as swimming in the deep sea, you both are amazing, I really admire of you! In fact, the two hot swimming pools are the same great, the weather is so cold, it must be very comfortable to soak in it! The pictures you took are really beautiful, we have seen very bright green light, thank you for sharing!👍😃🙏 在那裏開車應該跟在深海裡游泳一樣難,你們太厲害了,實在很佩服! 其實,兩個溫泉游泳池都很棒,天氣那麼冷,泡在裡面一定是很舒服! 你們拍到的畫面真的很漂亮,我們有看到非常鮮豔的綠光,謝謝分享!

Great video. I got the impression, though, that you were a little disappointed in the Aurora Borealis sighting. That's sad when you have an image of what something is supposed to be like and it's different. Chris, you're always so laid back it's harder to tell, but Carol's face is so expressive and she's been so joyful in these Iceland videos, we can tell she's loving this trip. Your video of the Aurora Borealis was spectacular, and I hope you can watch it and see how amazing it is and how the camera caught maybe more than you saw in real time. Thanks!
@JumpingPlaces2 жыл бұрын
Since we thought that you could see the same colors as in the photos and videos we were a little disappointed at first but it was still completely insane. Especially the last time we went out it was extremely bizarre seeing these huge swirls of light dancing around in the sky everywhere. The video shots turned out pretty good but they only capture the direction the camera is facing, at one point it was dancing in all directions so the video doesn't even do it justice in a way.

@El_.57942 жыл бұрын
There’s an app you can download to use with your iPhone camera or a special setting on your DSLR camera when taking photos of the Northern lights. Setting like manual mode, Aperture and ISO setting minimum of 800 depending on the brightness of the Aurora lights, ( can go higher the better) setting on the shutter speed to miminum 15” and choosing vivid color. So even if the Aurora forecast is not that clear, you could still see and capture it with your camera in that setting. Though not visible to the naked eye but using the Aurora special setting in your camera or app on your iPhone, you’ll be able to caputure it nicely. Placing your camera on a tripod is a must to avoid blurred photos and protect your camera from the cold at all times. Visiting the Aurora borealis museum in Reykjavic is helpful as they help you set up your camera to the apt setting before venturing out chasing the Northern lights. You just have to be there usually bet. 12-2am since the visibility doesn’t stay long. Hope you’ll be able to capture it for the second time. Also, we are at the end of March if you’re still there, then there’s a slim chance you’ll see it clearly because the sun is slowly closer to earth this time. It should be dark and away from light Pollution including stars and the moon and away from the City at this time of the year. Best month the Aurora is more visible is between Nov. to March on a clear skies. Glad you witnessed the phenomenon.

The thing with the Northern Lights, it's not the color of the aurora themselves that trick tourists, it's Instagram. Both professional photographers and Instagram influencers who see this natural phenomenon, hype up the colors online to make it more appealing. This is why many people, although happy to see it, get a little disappointed. Which is totally understandable. Glad you got to see them though :)

I don’t know if you knew but there was a huge landslide in the town you visited, Seyðisfjörður, in December 2020, and a great deal of the old town got destroyed, several old buildings over 100 year old just got swept away. Thankfully nobody got hurt. It was terrible, the whole country was shocked, it was the biggest landslide to ever hit a town in Iceland. We’ve had avalanches regularly and even lost many people to them but this is new to us but likely to become more frequent with climate change, unfortunately. 😔
