An inline 6 is a very balanced engine with very little vibration which adds to reliability and tuning potential. A v8 is not a balanced engine and requires crankshaft counterweights to make them last a bit longer. I like the sound of a v8 but it does not compensate for their shortcomings.

@@OM617a which is precisely why I drive an inline 6. But that is besides the point. Most JDM cars are small-sized 4-cyl making a racket. Annoying noise is no hallmark for power.

@@daszieher What i6 do you drive? You make a fair point, although some of those Honda's are making power. They are not my thing though I like an i6 preferably with blowers.
