Jesse was definitely one of my top favorites this season along with Noelle and Cody. He totally would have won if he made it to the end. Him hiding his threat level under the radar for that long during post-merge is impressive and he without question has made his wife and kids proud.

Jesse proved that you can be considered a villain in this game in a way that's still respectable to his fellow players and not out of maliciousness for the sake of being malicious. his blindside of Cody was brutal and villainous but in the way that was necessary to further his game, and I think he is easily considered one of the top tier players of the show itself, but most definitely in the modern era of survivor. would love to see him back in a future all star season

A villain with a heart. I loved Jesse, I loved his duo with a Cody, and was really hoping he would win. I’m kinda hesitant to see if he would come back because now that people know how he is I’m not sure if they would keep him around for long and I don’t want that to ruin the reputation this season gave him. Nonetheless, definitely a top tier player of the new era, one of my faves. And if he returns I will be rooting for him.

He was an amazinggg strategic & social player but his downfall was his abysmal physical game. He never came close to winning a challenge and planned for the final 3 without giving the final 4 firemaking enough thought or weight. If he comes back, Jesse NEEDS to be with Cody. I wouldn’t mind if they turned into Jeremy & Natalie 2.0.

jesse's story is my favorite from this season. a former gang member who turned his life around to have a great career and a loving family. and jesse definitely played an A+ game as well. i think he's a lock for 50. the 3 i would pick from 43 to be on 50 would be him, owen and karla. that's mostly who'd i'd love to see, but i think they're all worthy of playing again

I can't keep it to myself, so hear me out. Once the final 4 was formed Jesse had no chance of making it to the final - being the mastermind that he is, he is bad at challenges and at fire. Owen, Cass and Gabler are all better challenge performers and Owen and Gabler are both good at fire. So either of them, if won last immunity instead of Cass, would take Cass with them and leave the other battling fire against Jesse and he'd lose. There's literally no way out of this situation and he should've known that. So to have a chance he should've made a different move at final 5, namely told Karla that it's her, and ask her to vote with him against Gabler. Flash immunity, everyone votes Karla, play immunity for Karla, Gabler's out. Then spend the final 4 convincing Karla and Cass that they are each other's biggest threats than he is, as they played as allies and jury will not separate their games and just vote for whoever is third. So if either of them win, they would take Owen to the final, and Jesse would battle fire against the other. We know Cass said she's bad at fire, Karla's skills haven't been mentioned or seen, so for this plan to work we have to assume she's worse at it than the guys (but even if she isn't this whole plan is still a better chance than zero). Or they would take Jesse to get the other girl out and hope that him not having to do fire will lose him points with the jury. If Owen wins, either way at least one of the girls is making fire, that would be Jesse's perfect scenario apart from winning himself. Boom, he's in final 3 and wins, even if one of the other 2 players is a great player Karla, because he saved her ass and jury will take note of him making that call.

I heard somewhere that Gabler tried to avoid making fire around camp so others wouldn’t know how good at fire he was, so it’s a bit of hindsight that we know he’s good at fire. Maybe I’m wrong and Jesse did know Gabler was good at fire, but I think this is still an interesting perspective and good to think about

Problem with this take is that Owen, Cassidy, Gabler ALL wanted Karla out at 5 and Karla wanted Jesse out. You see Karla literally start to write Cassidy’s name down before scratching it out to write Jesse’s down. Your idea is good on paper, but it doesn’t account for the actual dynamics of the F5.

Brilliant player if only this game doesn't include challenges. He sucked at them and wasn't able to get to the finale like Sandra as he was seen too big of a threat. He still would have been voted out at top 4 without the broken format. Cassidy is therefore still robbed.

Karla wanted him out. Wym? She voted for him. Even if he plays the idol for Karla, and voted for Cass. It would tie with Karla's vote for him. Jesse goes home on a revote. Plus, he said in an exit interview, during the live tribal where Karla is insisting to play the idol for her, Karla was also telling others that it might be a fake idol and take a shot at him. Karla was targeting him. He shut the idea of playing it for Karla. And played it for himself. It was the right move

Your idea only works if we’re dealing with emotionless, brainless chess pieces, but the actual dynamics of the F5 didn’t give Jesse any options to play with. One of Jesse or Karla needed immunity to keep them both in the game.

I think I honestly preferred that, instead of her facing a bitter jury. Imagine an alternate season in which Jesse isn't as hyped but still pretty strong in the edit, but Cassidy gets an absolute overload of confessionals, as she is in face the "Dragon". In the final 5, Jesse uses his idol on Karla, the two blindside Cass and then face each other in the fire challenge (I assume Gabler or Owen win and take each other to the FTC). Then Jesse proceeds to win in a landslide.

Everyone said in post game interviews that Karla completely trashed Cassidy to the jury the night she was voted. The jury was definitely tainted.
