Pastor John is so special to me because he was the first Pastor AND Christian I'd come across who actually believed the Bible as God's Word and taught only the Bible. And through him I found other pastors and Christians who read, study, believe, obey, and teach Holy Scripture. The Lord's sheep do hear His voice when His shepherds preach His Word. Thank You , Lord for Pastor John and all my sisters and brothers !!

John MacArthur says differently, he does not preach the Bible, ge preaches calvinisim. I have listened to John MacArthur since I was 5. He has always had a good sense of humor. His sermons are so deep and profound and he is an amazing orator. Love his sense of humor that pops up every so often. he is a true blessing and gift from God. I am grateful for his ministry.

Daniel -- I'd expect that response from a Calvinist. James -- that's inspiring, and have you ever really stopped and compared Calvinism to Scripture? Do you honestly think that God would determine one's eternal destination,--- to Heaven or Hell? One of the main problems with Calvinism is its stance that good and evil come from God. That's not just heresy; that's blasphemy.

And we're told that Christ died "for the elect". What??? If you're "elected" for salvation (a prideful stance, by the way), that means you're already saved. If you're already saved, then what's the need in the Crucifixion? Calvinism states that what separates man from God isn't sin but instead the "luck of the draw"---- in the process attacking God's holiness. Furthermore, no one is "totally depraved", and notice how Calvinists take this approach that says, "Well, we're all totally depraved, but I'm not as totally depraved as you are." Again, what????? Again, pride enters in------------- all while claiming to give glory to Christ. Does Christ decide who will be saved? No. Did He die for all? Yes. I would encourage Calvinists to go to the Lord in prayer about this poisonous thing called "pride" that's blinding them.

I'll be glad to, but don't get bossy. Calvinism is not Christian, period. It's a cult that follows John Calvin and hides behind the label "reformed theology" to try to hide that fact. At the core of Calvinism is pride, and do you think God is happy with this fact? We are to humble ourselves and come to Christ for forgiveness and to put our faith in Him and His atonement. Calvinism, on the other hand, preaches this unscriptural idea that God isn't truly holy and that the only thing that separates man from God is whether or not He chooses one for salvation. In the process, Calvinism presents an unholy God who is a respecter of persons, and we have all these Calvinists walking around trying to convince themselves that they're at the right hand of God and that He's offended by the sins of others and not their own. Again, this diagram presents an unholy God and an elevated view of self, and such an ideology comes from Satan, not from God.

Thank you brother. It is nice to take a breather (as it were) and enjoy some clean wholesome levity within the born again ranks. We do need to remember to keep these things balanced as Jesus was a man of sorrows. I've always found it interesting that in all of scripture there is not much humor, laughter, silliness, playfulness, and jokes. Not to say God is against humor but it is sobering to remember the eternity of the lost. I did smirk and giggle a few times watching this because truth can be humorous. I know one of MacArthur's favorite preacher's Dr. M.L. Jones rarely was heard laughing. I've listened to MANY of Jones' sermons and he has even rebuked congregations for chuckling at something he says, like using an example. Anyways God bless, and thank you for a few minutes of some clean levity.
