6:22 is a reference to an event that happened outside 30 Rock in 1994 when Theron Montgomery (an NBC stagehand at the time) was killed by William Tager. Tager had previously assaulted Dan Rather in 1986 while repeatedly saying "Kenneth, what is the frequency?". He apparently believed that TV networks were beaming thoughts into his head. Theron was my dad Reed's cousin, he lived with him at his aunt Sandy's place for a while in 1979 or 1980.

Dan rather was assaulted in 1986, the song didn't come out till september 1994 about a month after the same man killed my dad's cousin. that event literally occurred AT 30 rock, the building the show is named after, just prior to tracy joining SNL. it seems to me that it's more a reference to the actual events.
