Maa Jaanaki is a nice composition. Thyagaraja, as an ardent devotee of Lord Rama could sing with great authority and leverage. Sri Kunnakkudi inherited the same authority from Saint Thyagaraja by virtue of his dedicated Sadhana! Pranams!!

He is totally a different carnatic music violin player - not much encouraged by the people who dominate in Carnatic music - however his violin music has been still being loved by all Tamils as well as the world. I have been listening very often when my mind disturbed and during nights since my late 20s (after 1975)
