This is a bit out of topic, but rewatching this again I remembered that I never understood why Magnus was so suprised that Alec never had a relationship on 2x07 if on 1x06 (?) he guessed that Alec was a virgin "Virgin shadowhunter energy" and no one seemed to speak against. Unless he was just joking because he felt that Alec was unexperienced... or at least unexperiened/virgin with men since Magnus knew Alec was hiding his sexuality. Or maybe Magnus expected Alec to have had previous relationships even if without sex and he was surprised with his TOTAL lack of relationship experience?
