Its sad how many Pats fans I've seen online trashing Butler over the last few weeks. Fuckin people would all argue that he was a top 5 CB until the possibility of him leaving came up, then all of a sudden they all start saying he's not even that good. Insane.

rusty shakleford the truth is he gets beat once or twice a game and I watch all games that's why they paid Gilmore 65m butler is great not worth 65m tho he can't cover taller receivers either they offered 7m annually he's worth at least at least 10 but they are tight against the cap at this point

oh come on man, Butler is certainly not getting beat once or twice every game. I believe you're referring to plays where he's dropping back into zone coverage; and you're also conveniently ignoring the fact that the pats pass rush was HORRIBLE often, do you understand how insanely hard it is to cover a guy for an extended period of time? The Pats pass rush was so bad that it directly made the secondary look worse.
