He’s admitted he went to far but I put myself in his position as a 21 year old and everyone teling him he could do no wrong. But he was always a good student and a loyal friend. At the event he was personable , funny and really took time away to talk to my young son about life and belief in himself and work ethic. I can’t say anything negative about the guy.

I was a student at OU in the middle 1980s when Bosworth was on the team. A lot of people don’t realize that when the Boz was at OU, the roster was one the greatest ever assembled at the college D1 level going 33-3 with a National Championship (‘85) - played for two (2). All 3 losses were to the Miami Hurricanes, one of the games in which Boz’s initial shoulder injury occurred - which would ultimately seal his NFL fate in a few short years ahead. The Boz truly was a great LB in every sense of the word. The guy could run a 4.5 in pads. He was far more dominant in college at OU than Derrick Thomas (HOF - KC Chiefs) was at Alabama. Also, he got off to a similar start in the NFL toThomas’ (started as rookie - good stats). Problem was, Boz had damaged his shoulder at OU in the Miami game. All of the insiders knew that there was a big chance (based upon his attacking style of play) he would not survive in the NFL - and it happened (his shoulder failed).,

That is the beauty of it. If you never did wrong then how difficult would be your transformation? On the other hand the Hard ass Biker for 30 years has a lot to be sorry for. Same path to redemption. :-)

I remember when #55 was the number that was the most popular when I was in high school. I was the backup to our #55 I was #60. #55 became our classes best linebacker my sophomore year. He was all conference on offense and defense for four years. That why I was always his backup.

Boz was one of the better linebackers of all time. Bo Jackson was one of the single best athletes ever to play. That's why he was able to run through Boz.

That was good. I loved watching both of those guys play in college and beyond , also enjoyed watching Peyton as a high school player here in New Orleans. His dad was a childhood hero of mine and was a great QB on a bad team.

Broncos fan and old enough to remember when Seattle was a division rival. Still hate them.
@PaulGaither2 ай бұрын
"rival" they were kicked to the NFC West because they were nobody's rival. Raiders, Broncos, and KC are a triangle rivalry. The Chargers exist and are interesting in their own right, but nodoy was going to miss the Seahawks in the West. No way could you place Denver or Oakland/LA into the NFC and get away with it, or send KC to the NFC Sout, but the Hawks? bye.
