The crownlesss great ghazal emperor, the ustad of all ghazal ustads, the great maestro of great ghazal singing, the great creator of unique ghazal singing, ustad Mehedi Hasan Khan was not only a name, rather he was the heart of billions of his fans residing worldwide. The way he rendered ghazals with great mastery was absolutely out of the universe and totally divine and incomparable. Indeed he has taught all the ghazal ustads with great mastery, 'how a ghazal can be rendered so lively'. Besides this, he was a very good man who lived a very simple life. May great ALLAH (SWT) forgive him and keep his departed soul eternally in peace and give him the highest rank of the Jannatul Ferdous. Amin.

I feel myself extremely lucky to have born during the lifetime of the great Mehdi Hassan Saab. But it is a matter of profound regret that I did not have an opportunity to see him performing live during my lifetime. What a great experience it would have been, had I seen him performing live! Had it happened, I would have been highly blessed! Perhaps, l will have to carry over this unfulfilled wish to my next birth, if there be any! What a formidable singer the great Mehdi Hassan Saab was! He had given ghazal gayiki a new pedestal which will be very difficult to surpass! . Although he is no longer alive, he will remain embedded in the heart of his fans forever through his divine creations and inimitable style of ghazal gayiki. Let us stand up and salute this noble soul and great inspirational singer!
