Ikr. Even tho I hated how Archie treated Edith sometimes I could see his POV on Mike never hardly thanking them for that! Of course Archie did it for Gloria & Edith & really actually loved having them around. Many shows even showed he loved Mike too, he knew he loved his daughter & Archie loved to argue lol. Mike still had a right to stick to his beliefs tho he shouldn’t have agreed with all Archies bigotry just to keep peace. Besides there would be no show if he did that lol!

Not a fair contest between Mike and Archie since you have to eat to live but you sure don't need to smoke to live. Plus they started the timing just before lunch so Mike went longer without eating than Archie did without smoking.

Gloria is Archie’s daughter, so she can get away with a bit of irritating. “Meathead” should be grateful enough not to irritate the man who’s providing him with a roof. It isn’t exactly Miami Beach in New York City in December, if you catch my meaning.

I loved the serious episodes as much as the pure funny ones. Beverly LaSalle episode was great. It really gave us a chance to see Edith’s smart side. She may not have been “educated” as Jean Stapleton said, but she has a different kind of intelligence.
@tinajeppesen59482 ай бұрын
I recently watched interviews with Jean Stapleton. Wow. So different than Edith. Kind of weird & almost sad how she seemed to resent being associated with a character the country loved. GREAT actress tho. She gets into how much she loved the show too tho- how it was like theater with the live audience & some improvising - & how they had freedom to protect their characters & whether or not they would say or do certain things. Interesting. Truly a great group of actors - not just people basically playing themselves.
