Thats still so shocking to me (and rather creepy when you think about it). Carolyn died from cancer of the stomach and the same illness that had taken her life had also contributed to ending the life of Raul Julia (the 90’s Gomez). They were both in their 50’s when they passed! Such talented actors in their own respective eras. I think Angelica did a fantastic job of embodying Carolyn’s Morticia while also making the character her own as well.

An icon for mothers and goths everywhere. I was born in the wrong years but this was the first woman I saw in a show that shaped my impression of women. Have never been able to change it much. She loved her family unconditionally and supported them completely. Anjelica played the character as a tribute to Carolyn I believe.

Carolyn and John originated and perfected these characters and worked directly with the one who invented the entire Addams family. Charles. Everything else after that is a copycat and not a very good one. I wish people would think of a new ideas instead of reinventing a show so many times that was perfected right here. You’ll never be able to re-create what John and Carolyn had.
