Aaaah, the good old days of unskippable 9S fixes your shit scene. They had to fix that, because a lot of people took a break at that exact moment, forcing them to sit through it a second time. A skip button was finally added.

I remember there was a bat in my house once, my dad went out to deal with it, and I think I saw one of my older brothers leave his room with a baseball bat, before my mom shutting the door and hiding in the room with me. I do remember that after seeing it fly around for a split second, I just wanted it gone, I didn't care if it just flew out the door or was splatted on the wall or bounced off the ground with a tennis racket. Admittedly now, I don't know if bats ever really attack people aside from self defense when they're cornered or freaking out. For that reason I find it weird when someone sees something moving in the sky and they freak out like "was that a bat?" the night's over, go home, get in the car, get in your house, we aren't hitting the town tonight. If anyone can correct me and say bats are prone to attacking people randomly, then fair point, but as far as I know, any bats you see in the sky are just going to go eat some bugs or fruit, even if it's a vampire bat (which I don't think are in my state, I'll check later) don't go after people, in fact I don't think they live off of blood, I'm pretty sure that's like a myth or misconception or something.

Update: I did look up some stuff about bats, specifically in my State. We have no Vampire Bats, all of ours eat insects. The only time they pose any real threat or danger to people is if they fly in your house and freak out. I didn't read anything about them being aggressive towards people at all, so basically I feel like people should just treat them like birds in a way from what I've gathered, they're just sort of there and will most likely fly away from you after you get so close to them or avoid you in general, and just like birds, you wouldn't want them in your house and freaking out. I also saw there's this somewhat new thing called white nose syndrome (unless the sight I went to is outdated) and it's killed a ton of bats, like it is usually fatal for them if they catch it and they catch it while hibernating. That would explain why there seems to be a huge amount of extra bugs in recent years.

When I set up the menu stuff on route A I got distracted then went off and did something else for like 30 minute so when I came back to it in the B route I thought my controls were fucked when in fact I was just dumb
