Trish really knows how to smash it out the park when it comes to Chaos. The boys are scribbling borijg space marines with a funny looking arm while Monstergirl is giving us skurpions. I believe she goes by the surname ‘Carden’ these days, btw.

I actually picked up a copy of that Fighting Fantasy book with the Dark Future cover at a 2nd hand store a while back along with a smattering of other FF books. Speaking of Dark Future, if you're looking to scratch that itch there's always Gaslands from Osprey Games, very much a spiritual successor to DF. AND, speaking of speaking of second hand books, all I can say about finding a copy of the Book of the Astronomicon for less than your firstborn is "me first!". I know of exactly ONE copy I have held in my hands and the owner swore he would be buried with it...

GW are insane for not touching their unification wars lore for a setting..... mutants and techno barbarians would be awesome.

Really enjoyed this one. Did you ever expect to be an art critic(?)/reviewer when you were a weeun? Have you considered a second channel for your fantasy content if it tanks so bad with your current regulars? I’m going to check out that early fantasy vid you mentioned now.

I am totally in favor of you doing some Warhammer Fantasy content, especially the undead. I was always thinking of doing an army, back when I could hold a paintbrush. In my mind's eye, I could see rank after rank of skeletons, zombies and ghouls.

The way you talk about the art reminds me of Tony Hart (in the best possible way).

Good stuff. It's missing one of the best pieces of art from the Slaves to Darkness book, though. The spider-man. If you know, you know!

That horus picture by Garry Harrod is from warhammer 40K epic space marine codex 1st supplement 1989, and I do remember the text saying it was indeed Horus depicted in it.

One thing which always bugged me about some examples of older artwork - was the placement of the magazine so far down the bolter. It was so far down the bolter that it would not work on a real firearm- and decreased accuracy (maybe thats why i would roll so badly?) Anyway, yeah its really pronounced in that space wolf drawing but there are other examples.

Maybe it has a futuristic use we don’t know about?

@SnakeWorksStudio that sounds dangerously like the sin of innovation ..... 😉
