My mother was an Opera singer I grew up listening to her practice I learned opera by the time I was 13 but my voice was never as good as hers was. This music brings me joy and memories of my mother singing the Arias that I did not know at the time were the most beautiful and dramatic music. I would ever hear.

When I was a child I never understand Opera, but now as a soon to be 43yrs old black US veteran, I now truly find it lovely and beautiful to listen to. I'm also a poet at heart, so Opera is like poetry to my ears and heart. I like opera for the art form not its content. In fact I don't understand 99.9% of the lyrics, none of which are in my own native languages and the plots are usually silly and simplistic, but the purity and authenticity of human voice soothe and comfort, rather than stir and torment, my mind and soul.

Enserio es increíble pensar que un ser humano pueda hacer sonar su voz de tal manera me deja boquiabierta. Amo la ópera, y amaría poder aprender a cantar así pero no conozco algún lugar para hacerlo así que me resigno a canto nornal y tratar de llegar ahí por mi propia cuenta.
