I totally agree about the move at 3:49. It's creative and efficient, and that's what parkour is about. If I came up on that rail, I probably would have done a turnaround vault, but the move that he used is much faster. That's thinking outside the box. That's parkour.

One thing most people look over in long jumping is the aspect of using your entire body to jump, not just your legs. In fact, your arms and shoulders are just as important as you legs. Swing everything forward and explode and you'll go flying. :D

i agree with deadly. As a fellow traceur in a real escape you dont have time to plan out your route beforehand its just instinctive.... but when you're filming you walk around until you find a good spot and plan something big you can do on it so you can make a good film

(I don't do parkour, but I really admire this sport)- watched your video-> great job. Keep it up. If I knew about parkour when I was 13, there's nothing what could stop me. as the multiple number guy says, shoes are only a small part of the puzzle, parkour takes time,dedication, motivation and extreme concentration to accel in the discipline of it. But shoe wise, i have some new balance 805s with a cushioned sole in them and they have suction cup kinda tred which is good for running up walls but some walls are too slippery and the suction cups dont wrk so well
