If you read Peter Kay’s Sound Of Laughter he talks about recording his Mum, Dad & Grandma (without their knowledge) and listening to the recordings and how funny normal life was/is. He writes that he still listens to them now and laughs. Behind his exceptional routine is a true love of his family and I believe his incorporation of his family into his routine is not just because it works, it’s because he had the state of mind to realise how hilarious everyday family events are. The enjoyment he’s brought to millions of people is fantastic.
