RC TRUCK ACTION Anytime, Really enjoy the videos! Been looking at these machines and researching for a while now. For someone new to rc would it be difficult to buy this machine and paint and assemble. Although I don't know much about RC i happen to know a lot about construction and equipment as its a family business! Thanks for the help!

You`re welcome. The best way to find it out is: Just do it! :-) I will get a kit by the beginning of October and show on my KZbin Channel, how to build it. Maybe this is a chance for you, to come closer to this great hobby. :-) Thanks for your feedback. Greetings from Germany, Bjoern

Also one more thing, that model D65WX has WIDE pads and that is also why you can't push as much as with NARROW pads D85ex. The ground pressure between these two is significant. I think I will go with narrow pads so it can maximize brute force. Wide pads are much better suited for muddy or very soft soils, but I admit they do look better.

Realistic RC dozer you got there, not bad at all. I have operated a D65ex for about a year and it's close to the real thing but you should be able to fill your blade up ALOT more granted you only have a straight blade but still. That model is 22 lbs so you actuallyhave more weight for it's size. A d65 with fluids and multi-shank ripper is about 50,000 lbs / 14.5/14.5/14.5 = 16 lbs. Maybe the electrical in there is underpowered or maybe it could use a better gearing ratio? I plan on making a cross between a 575A komatsu and a D8 Dozer, best of both worlds and it will weigh around 80 lbs + 10:1 ratio. It will have a full U blade with variable speed controller. Has two five-inch DC motors with gear reduction finely tuned for brute force. Steel frame and cutting edges for blade and ripper teeth will be made out of old dozer cutting edges trimmed way down. I'll cast each track pad separately out of aluminum and cast blade out of either white brass or yellow brass just because I can and will never see that much wear to wear it out. Ripper shanks can also me solid brass. I have enough room in the hull area to make a custom battery pack of 72 rechargeable AA with one inch space in between each battery for heat dissipation. For the hydraulics I was going to use a 12 volt sprayer pump with pneumatic lines and cylinders with oil but takes up too much room in the hull so going to make custom servos on cnc machine and use the pneumatic cylinders with that. If they aren't strong enough and break I'll make some rams on the lathe. The front end will look like that of a D575 komatsu front end and a rear of a D8 Cat. The 575 will have to be balanced and scaled down much further to match that of a D8 then both reduced 10:1

This unit seems to try to push at what I would consider "transport" speed, could it possibly benefit from a gear reduction, to exert more force when pushing? Anyone, operators?
@RC-TRUCK-ACTION9 жыл бұрын
+arealassassin Absolutely. Newcomers always operate at high speed. ;-) You should find other videos on my channel - they look more realistic.
@polskiogorki70199 жыл бұрын
+arealassassin YEs it looks geared too high, technically it only needs to be 16.6 lbs for the size so it looks heavy enough. Id guess needs to be lower geared and more power because the tracks stop dead. If tracks spin then needs more weight.

One more thing, I think your dozer should be geared down a bit more also, seems like you're running between Gear two and gear 3 in a real dozer. Your power bandwidth goes right out the window in third gear. At that point you can level but not really push much. Having operated both the d65 six-way blade and the D85 ex semi-u-blade for a few years I can tell you I much preferred the semi U Blade and don't miss the 6-way. Much rather have more dirt to play with and stay in the blade however the 65 was nice for finishing small jobs. If I need more dirt on one side than the other I can just do a quick flick left or right while moving forward to get the right mix. I've always wanted to play with a full U Blade so I'll be going that route, cheers!

Thank you so much for your great comment - I appreciate it. Seems to be that you really know what you're talking about. unfortunately, I never had any contact with the real thing. Still trying to let it look as real as possible - but having much room for improvement. Did you see the green / white KOMATSU? Best wishes from Germany
@polskiogorki70199 жыл бұрын
+RC TRUCK ACTION Yes I have seen the green and white Komatsu, looks very realistic and looks high quality, I think it was around 11k euro? Curious to see how that one performs out in the sandbox or on a real jobsite, which is where I'll be taking mine
