Since apparently a lot of people in the comments are confused it is not gee-ro or ji-ro.. Gyro is closer pronounced to yeu-ro than those. The g is more or less silent.

In South Australia we spell it yiros. Also, it's not a plural-it's one yiros many yiros or yiroses (in English, in Greek I think it's always yiros).

@@Elriuhilu yes youre correct.. Yiro is pretty much the same. I couldnt figure out the best way to spell it because it has an accent on it in greek. But i just wanted everyone to know it most definitely is not said with a hard G sound.

The word Gyro does exist in english and js pronounced Ji-ro, the food gyro is pronounced yee-ro so that’s probably why people get confused

Hot take (?): You can absolutely work an 8 hour shift, come home & take your dog for a walk, etc. and be an amazing pet owner. Just because you are home all day with your pets, does not necessarily mean you are taking good care of them! 🤷‍♀️ I think the dog owners who really deserve to be shamed are those who don’t take their dog for walks, out to play, etc. There are so many people who simply own dogs like a piece of furniture. They sit inside all day and get no exercise or fulfillment. THAT is mistreatment. If you shouldn’t leave your dog alone at home for 8 hours, then most working-class people would be unable to own a dog. Most people don’t have the luxury of going home for lunch break. People also sometimes sleep for 8+ hours. Would that also be considered bad to leave your dog alone while sleeping? Idk about the logic on this one. I’d rather see a dog from the shelter warm, fed & safe in a home (yes, even if they have to be alone for 8 hours) versus staying in already well over-capacitated shelters. Most dogs are a lot more independent than the post is making it out to be tbh - adult dogs typically only need to urinate every 6-8 hours.

I bought the Lalage Beaumont Fontyn in medium tan last week at kislux and since receiving it I have been using it and neglecting my designer collection (honeymoon period maybe) , but I was really impressed with the quality and timing, right down to how they used it.
