@Real_MisterSir8 жыл бұрын
lol what the fuck you talking about, all you said is totally false man. 1. The 787B was made in 1991 for Le Mans that year, which it won. It was the first and only time the 787B competed in Le Mans. 2. In 1992 the new rules of 3.5 litre piston engines was introduced, and in the same move the use of Wankel engines was banned. That meant the 787B had to retire, and Mazda was forced to build their future cars on the base of another company's engine. The 787B was highly competitive as it was both the most reliable and fuel efficient car at the time - the two main components of winning Le Mans. 3. Regardless of anything, I am talking about exhaust sound, idk why you try to bring in race success and performance into this? Are you stupid, like for real? I can't tell.. But please, do educate yourself a bit
@manoo4228 жыл бұрын
Mazda had 18 attempts with rotary's (including the 767) at Le Mans before they got a fluke win. The ONLY reason they won was the 170kg weight advantage they negotiated with the FIA due to being so uncompetitive in a year that was very poorly attended by other teams due to rule changes. Wankels were NOT banned from Le Mans in 1991 they raced again in 94 & 95 moron. The 7.8L rotary was completely uncompetitive in any of the classes after 1991 which is why Mazda retired the team. It only lasted Le Mans due to being de-tuned and fuel consumption was greatly helped by the massive weight advantage which just tipped the balance in their favour for a fluke win. They would have had no chance on a level playing field with the rest of the teams. The 787 was a RACE car you cretin, why do you think it was created? to sound good for you fanboys??!?

@Anonymou-s5 жыл бұрын
@@helicocktor Only because rotards are habitually misleading about the displacement of the engines.
@helicocktor5 жыл бұрын
@@Anonymou-s misleading? The difficulty of measuring the displacement of a wankel motor is inherent in its design. Most manufacturers measure only one chamber, the combustion chamber. Why? It's the only chamber that produces power. Why measure all the chambers when doing so will skyrocket the taxes paid by customers. No one would fucking buy the car then. For racing purposes, 2 chambers are usually measured. Some people argue that you need to measure all 3 even. For this reason, the displacement of a 2-rotor RX-7 with a single swept volume of 654cc can be measured as 1.308, 2.616 or 3.924 liters. For taxation or marketing reasons, Mazda decided to go with 1.3, even though the performance matches a 2+ liter four stroke and it drinks fuel like a 3 liter. The reason it packs so much power in such little space is also inherent in its design. It has more power pulses per revolution than a four-stroke engine. Oh wait, what's the other kind of piston engine that packs more power per liter than a four-stroke cycle? That's right, a two-stroke cycle, which has the same number of power pulses per revolution as wankels. Go get a degree in engineering and then we'll talk about misleading.

I am twenty seven years old and own a rotary. They're not dead, just rare because of meticulous maintenance or rebuilds.
@jorge85965 жыл бұрын
@@sofakingdom3076 they are dead since no current production car uses them. Would you say 2-stroke car engines aren't dead because there are some Trabants on the road?
@sofakingdom30765 жыл бұрын
@@jorge8596 rotary's are ideal as hybrids due to the rotational force. Plus rotarys can also run on hydrogen. :) innovation is great.

Ive been driving a 13b for like 5 years now, and I never knew there was such a thing as a 6 rotor, let alone a fucking 12 rotor. Hats off to these guys.

I had a 71 RX2 Coupe Manuel transmission.. I love it!! red with white top black seats had Glass pack and Grant (GT) steering wheel, Alpine Sound System on White Epsilons Wheels and low profile tires. This was back in 1982 Hanging out on Crenshaw Bl. (Los Angeles) AKA Street Racers Damn what I wouldn't do to get that car back. We called them the V8 Eaters. Killed anything with a V8!!! now that I'm in my 50's bring back lots of memories Hard to find in the States now. What we took for granted back then now we wish we had.

had an Elford Turbo RX-7, it went like the absolute clappers, I used to eat Porsche 911's and spit them out, but it drank petrol at a disturbing rate and about once a year I would hear the rotor tips rattling around in the exhaust, had the engine rebuilt 5 times in 8 years. best fun car I ever owned.

They had put 2jz sounds over it
@Jetster0074 жыл бұрын
No, it was a 255hp TT 13b with nos and exhaust. All fast and furious cars were actually built out for the movies so you can look up their specs and part lists. I imagine a lot of the exhaust notes were edited to make them more audible which could alter their sound a bit.

Why do they smoke so much? Carbon?
@VisioRacer9 жыл бұрын
+Ben Rose There is oil feed injecting oil into the combustion chamber to keep apex seals lubricated. Of course this oil is burned, so rotaries do smoke
@sw969 жыл бұрын
+VisioRacer Plus a lot of people will pull the oil metering system off the motor and run some 2-stroke oil mixed into their fuel instead, generally considered to be a more reliable way of keeping the rotor housing and seals lubed.
