If they had designed engine bed plates back then. The bottom end could easily handle any naturally aspirated hp thrown at it. Adding 100 or 120 to 1 ratio 2 stroke oil into the racing gasoline would keep the engine cooler.

As an ex D5 owner and now current 2.0 D3 owner I can proudly say that those 5 pots sound amazing (But trust me, you want the D5, I remapped my D3 but it is nowhere near as fun as the D5 I owned. Still sounds exactly the same as the D5 which makes sense since it is based on it lol)
