They only seem to embrace curly hair on the white girls (which I’m all for, I think Maddie for example looks 100x better with her natural curls) Most of the black girls still relax their hair or wear weaves or wigs. I can’t think of a recent black DCC who wore her natural hair (robin had curls but hers was a weave) Sasha from quite a few years ago had curls but she’s the only one I can think of.

So do they get a list of stuff they're supposed to know? If not, just give them material that they are required to memorize, give them a written test, and then continue to ask them questions over the course of training camp. But it's obvious that one chick did not know squat, so just excuse her from camp and tell her to study and come back next year.

We don’t see everything. Even if you watch full episodes. They show what they want. The girls could be taking lessons or be given materials to study or a multitude of things. They could have talked about this a million times but that scene made good tv.

They probably chemically straightened it which lasts for 6 months and costs about $300 - $600 to do. It's not a relaxer like Africa Americans use. I used to do hair in the 90s it's a long process but so worth it. I had it done I had hair like her back then and to be able to let my hair dry naturally without it frizzing was so amazing. Taking 10 minutes to dry and style compared to 45 minutes was the icing on the cake. I never once missed my curls. But after I quit doing hair I couldn't afford to pay for it since I got it free so curls were back. HTH🤗

No, it isn't. All they need to do is wash it. Their hair wasn't chemically straightened. Look at Brandi Kilby in the locker room after the squad was announced. You can see her natural curl pattern coming out because she's been sweating and her hair is damp. All they did was blow it out, then go over the hair with a flat iron.

feverspell I was just speaking from personal experience because I went thru a phase where I only straightened and curled my hair and it took about a year of wearing it natural almost everyday for it to be completely back to where it was

Idk what is wrong with looking like a stripper. Unless you think of drugged out junkies you haven’t been to many strip clubs. Especially gentleman’s strip clubs. They hire top notch girls at a lot of them and make sure they aren’t drug addicts. I’m a stripper and I’m gorgeous. So I don’t think it’s offensive even though I know Kelly meant it as such! I’m proud as hell to be able to work out at work, make more money in a night than many do in 2 weeks. Which makes it so I can be with my kids almost 24/7. Win win for me

These cheerleaders work so hard and their coaches seem to treat them with little to no respect its so disapointing to watch this. Their reaction (10:56) to that cheerleader not knowing the answer to the question was bad they could of just brought her aside and told her instead of humiliating her in front of the whole class. These coaches have a little bit of power and they really like showing it over these girls.

Is the honor and privilege worth the embarrassment, bullying and toxic environment coming within the organization (the powers to be and certain girls on the squad.) I think the girls who leave or are cut have it better because they got away from all the crap.

I could see you saying that if this was her first night but they're like 8 weeks in they give him a binder to study every day so they know the answers to those questions that's why they practice so that they go to Media events they don't look silly when they're giving the wrong answers about their own football team she doesn't want them to look like dumb blondes so she spends countless hours educating them on names players events world things and making them incredible well-rounded women so when they're eight weeks in and she asked them a question she expects that they've done some sort of studying

No it got changed recently. They now get payed $12 an hour and their game day pay doubled from $200 to $400 ☺️ it’s still not great, considering the average American football game lasts for just over 3 hours, but it’s a step in the right direction!

The girls are paid by what revenue they bring in. The football team is the main draw and brings in the big money when it comes to revenue compared to the revenue the girls bring in. Billions compared to over a million dollars (according to Kelli the girls bring in over a million dollars in revenue aka calendar sales, merchandise, appearances, etc. etc.) I seriously doubt the seats would fill up if just the cheerleaders came in to perform without a football game.

The Mascot wouldn't fill the seats either, and he gets paid $65,000 a year just for the games (and more for other appearances, I believe). Plus all the other people who are employed by the franchise- ticket sales and ushers and camera crews and the jumbotron operators and everyone else don't bring in their own revenue- they're all there for the game 'experience.' Even if the cheerleaders didn't bring a single cent in revenue of their own, they should be paid decently as employees who are part of that experience.

@@ElleahWC The $65,000 the mascot makes is from his regular full time job within the Cowboys Organization, not from his mascot job. The team revenue is completely different and separate from the DCCs Revenue.I seriously doubt the team makes that much money from having the cheerleaders at the games. The people who work during the game bring in bring in their own revenue from sales at the games. The main draw at the game is the teams playing, not the cheerleaders. I am sure there are people watching the cheerleaders at the games, but I doubt the majority is just there to see them.

It's not just about the games and revenue. The cheerleaders bring value that cannot be monetized. Its not the cowboys football players volunteering in the community and abroad. That work matters and clearly the cowboys organization knows its value but they still do not properly compensate those girls

I love football and am a Steelers fan. (From Pittsburgh) But when I hear the money spent on this stadium, I can’t help but think how many people could that feed, education for our kids, healthcare for the sick or how about rebuilding New Orleans. Homes for the homeless.... and due to personal reasons, domestic violence safe havens for abused women and kids.....and saving the 1.5 plus MILLION shelter pets killed each year. Can’t there be a balance? For the millions that these football players get paid each season, can’t they play outside.....

In the past, they looked like elite athletes, in an intense training program, later they looked like they were going to a costume party. Just my opinion.

Inside information was she thought she had it in the bag when she was ask to come back and did not want to work for her spot on the team. Kelli and Judy were not going to put her on the team. It was probably just another story line for the show. I have a hard time believing they took the pageant sisters without knowing they were going to leave during TC. The sisters and Kaime were used for drama and ratings.
