@@SuperUnknownPerson My main criticism is the video itself. I personally thought Johnny would’ve went more into the story from beginning to end which he really didn’t. It’s not like the story was a big deal or anything. I just thought Johnny would’ve went deeper into it.

Nah, the Storybook games at least kept the aesthetic of Modern Sonic. CotT and MoM are more akin to the Sonic Boom games: They both significantly altered designs, made the environments much more boringly realistic, emphasized combat over platforming, put intense focus on comedy, and acted like hard reboots during times that we thought those retrospective franchises would be replaced.
