I’m not sure about that.1. Crash was created to be the general of Cortex’s army, so Crash is basically a super soldier. And 2. Crash is a bit smarter than you give him credit for. How else do you think he’s able to instantly pilot any vehicle he’s in, or get past any trap or obstacle in his way.

Actually, Crash Bandicoot: On The Run takes place at the end of the original timeline, after Mind Over Mutant. You can tell that because Wumpa Island has both the giant robot from Crash of the Titans and the Spaceship from Mind Over Mutant crashed on it. This vid makes me realize that I'm a scrimblo sweat lord who's more familiar w/ this Australian cartoon pouch rat's lore than my own country's history lol. Very enjoyable video! Btw, I think it's important to note that CTRumble's lack of success will likely have a negligible effect on the IP's future. From what I learned in the "Did You Know Gaming" video that spin-off exists because 1) it was the early origins of Crash 4/something TfB has been wanting to do in some form since 2018, 2) Crash 4's initial sales on the Switch (especially) + PS5/XBS___/PC in 2021 impressed Activision enough to greenlight another game (Crash Team Rumble), and 3) it was very very low-budget (largely because Activision wasn't exactly gung ho about the game). The ball is ultimately in Xbox's court now and they secured a publishing deal with the now indie TfB a few months ago (TfB has Crash and Spyro featured prominently on their new website. Make of that what you will). I think the aftermath of CTRumble will just make the powers that be more cautious in regards to greenlighting non-kart racer spin-offs lol

The racing was awfully boring and the writing was cringey, game had some weird obsession with chickens and penguin ninjas. The poor cast didn't help, in 2005 I expected more playable characters than Nitro Kart instead, it was even less than the original CTR. How do we go from 15 to 16 to 8? And sadly, they don't even have unique stats at all. Even the music took a hit and I actually liked Spiralmouth in Twinsanity so I don't know what the hell happened to them in CTTR. The saving grace was vehicle combat and the platforming which is fine.

24:34 nah from what I have heard, they decided to make Rumble after Crash 5 was cancelled. 4 made money but wasnt successful enough for them to lock in 5, so to fill in time before the studio was reasigned they made Rumble as basically a crash 4 asset flip. I dont think there was ever really much expectation for it. I highly doubt we'd have gotten crash 5 even if it was a huge hit. They just had the time and resources left over after Crash 5 was killed off.

biggest issue for Crash Team Rumble was that it wasn't on PC and I refused to buy a modern console. The other problems with it might be bigger for other people but the whole impossible to play is the biggest issue to me. Aside from that the N. Sane Trilogy was awesome and Crash 4: It's About Time was as well. CTR was one of my favorite games as a child so I was super happy to be able to play it again when CTR NF released with my brother, even if it was a buggy mess on release. Incredibly unfortunate that it is also not on PC so I can't play it online anymore either.
