No because spice made it seem like she bleached her skin for real, they asked multiple times if she bleached her skin in real life and she kept dogging the question so you cannot blame them for getting angry with spice
@Xander-gj6su
@Xander-gj6su 3 жыл бұрын
@Nubian Empress if you’re smart enough to come up with that conclusion, then you’re smart enough to understand that something that’s common sense to you may not be common sense to others, clearly they thought that she was able to augment her skin color by their reaction to spices appearance, so Mimi and the other girls most likely weren’t educated when it came to the topic of skin bleaching, they just went off out what they seen in the moment which was blasphemy in their eyes, they were shocked, scared and concerned so you cannot blame them for how the reacted
@lilyflower8991
@lilyflower8991 3 жыл бұрын
It was frustrating cause as a dark skinned black woman IT WAS AND STILL IS harder for us than the caramel and French vanilla sistahs!!! They never dealt with the shit we dealt with so they couldn’t understand but if they actually LISTENED to her then they would see where she was coming from. However, the makeup to look lighter was a major no! She should have stayed herself and advocated harder.

Having followed Spice for years and knowing that she loves her skin color I don’t think she meant she was going to bleach her skin. I only think this because one MiMi and Rahsheeda were coming at her hard. They wouldn’t even allow her to explain nor did they care to see her point of view in that scene. Spice was never going to bleach her skin. But what she did want is for the awareness to be presented. However, I do understand your response.

As a Trinidadian I can assure you that she is the definition of a hard working and mature woman of the Caribbean, one must never mock a countries accent, she is a depiction of the natural beauty in the Caribbean whether big, small or medium we don't necessarily body shame down here not even the men, so I can understand why she didn't know. And everyone please remember to love yourself for the way you are before changing anything about yourself, don't listen to others and know that God loves you. Big up TT 👌

I grew up in Jamaica people do body shame caz dem used to call me chubby before the chubby soft drinks come out. The thing about it, it's not looked at as body shaming but as a way of running jokes. The mindset if the people just take it as jokes or pet name. Come to the states with that iish everyone is hyper sensitive.

@@CapreDiem42 your right but half of the time, it's used as an identifying marker. Because truth be told girl, we all know Caribbean ppl love all body types. We may talk on it sadly especially if your of a heavy size but that doh stopping ppl from seeing you beautiful and that damn sure not stopping you from getting man😂❤️

I’m sorry I just have to say meme, rasheeda, or karlie can never truly understand what spice is saying about being darker skinned! They all have a lighter complexion. And I feel like Meme and Rasheeda were combative off top before Spice could even explain herself.
