If Capcom gets to work on a Street Fighter X Tekken 2 and give Street Fighter X Tekken 2 the Capcom ID/QR code treatment, then I'm not buying the game. I don't know what Capcom were thinking back when they created Capcom ID for Street Fighter 6 and onward.

This game will always have a special little place in my heart. It's not without its flaws (definitely the pre-2013 versions) but in the end it turned into a crazy and fun game. Wish the negativity bandwagon didn't barrel down and ran over this game the way it did, we could have had many more hype moments. Definitely wish the 2v2 format stuck around a little longer.

I hope they make another tag team 2D fighter like that wether it be only street fighter or street fighter vs snk or whatever. Shit was mad fun.

All the stages had insane lag exept training stage. pretty boring only playing one stage for serious matches. thats why when they ported poison , hugo, and stages to SSF4 they dumbed down the stages so they were wayyyy more playable online

Good game. This is prob the only 2 vs 2 competitive fighting game we got (aside tag mode in smash). Seems way more fun and interesting than usual 1vs1. Hope there is more 2 vs 2 in the future

The gem system in this game was its greatest down fall. Capcom’s greed definitely showed in this title. It made the game pay to win with exclusive gems you could only buy with money.

The criticism of the "gem system" is exclusively made by the scrubs of the FGC lmao. As the comment above pointed out, the gem system was NOT abused in the competitive scene. Capcom just took advantage of the scrub community that would buy those gems lol 😆

Fantastic game, was the perfect fighting game imo. Had a similar feel to sf4 but fixed a lot of the problems like vortex while still keeping it aggressive with how high the damage was. I sunk so much time into testing different teams in training mode.

I have to say this game was fun!! I know a lot of people give a s***but if you had friends or just lie to me too it was fun!! And I love the mechanic of the competition being 2 on 2. So that means you and your partner had to be in sync I just feel like the mechanics could have been done a little better and executed better. Competitive was not great but for fun Factor definitely up there

Now this is much better., SF X Tekken was Fun kind of Mahvel, but the main problem for me were the lack of Stages and not as Hype Sound Effects, not to mention Devil Jin and Evil Ryu.

Jerry Also the top players from Marvel and Street Fighter talked really bad about the game and the community bandwagoned their opinions. Players thought the game was bland, did not look fun, did not like that rounds ended when one person died (too used to the MVC series I take it; the feature in SFXT came from the Tekken Tag series), complained about Pandora mode when they barely explored it, and they complained about timeouts. Also this game was more lenient on link combos and has ground bounces, so I guess that since this game may have felt like an easier SF4 players may not have liked it. Also Eventhubs trashed the game a ton too which is where a lot of the FGC gets their information. By the time the 2012 update arrived which fixed Pandora mode by increasing the duration by a lot, and fixing timeours by increasing the damage dealt ans either nerfing or increasing health regeneration for your partner when tagged out (forgot exactlt which) most of the FGC gave up on this game and went back to SF4. If you know how Smash Melee players treat Brawl and Smash 4 in negative light you can think of this game's incident in that way. Oh, there was also the Street Fighter x Tekken reality show competition where Street Fighter and Tekken players were brought in to compete. The SF players had an advantage since the game played mostly like a traditional 2D FGC game with motion inputs. The main thing to take away from the show was that one coaches harrassed a female player on the show to the point where she forfeited the competition, which began lots of coverage of the show and talks of the incidents. Edit: Here are 2 links of the incident. The first link is a compilation and thw second is Maximilian Dood's video on it. For example a QCF was now a down-forward. And charge charactees like Vega amd Guile had a simple down and up charge motion for their supers.

A few more things. When this game was initially released. Data-miners discovered 12 DLC charactees locked on the disc which also got people to boycott this game. They also cost 14 bucks and you could only buy them all together. The PS3 version of the game had 5 exclusive characters: Toro, Koro, Cole, Pac-Man, and Mega Man. It also contained some graphical bugs, notably Raven's super was missing a clone. The game later released on the Vita which included all of the DLC characters. It also included a code which gave you dlc characters on the PS3 for free. So players who were early adapters felt ripped off. It even had cross-play with Ps3 and ypu could fight ps3 players online. The PS3 version had a feature that allowed online co-op with an offline friend. That feature was missing in the Xbox version. Originally for both games the netcode was bad, but patches fixed that. Also due to patches, several bugs popped up. A notable one was that if Rolento's knife hit a projectile the game would crash. Another was that Mega Man had a glitch where he could timer stall by using an ex move in the air which would send him out of bounds and it never got patched. The DLC characters and the PS3 exclusive characters have also been hacked into the Xbox game before release. So players like myself and others got to fight them online.
