I don't think that the reason why they don't make entertaining movies like the ones from the 2000's right now is cancel culture and people's sensitivity. Because me and my friends are as woke as it gets, and we enjoy some rotten shit. I believe it's film studios' fault for wanting to grab as much money as possible so they make movies/shows that would appease EVERYBODY and that's why they make it so sterilized and safe. Like the sometimes boring, safe and sterilized portrayal of queer ppl as to not offend anyone is getting annoying and limiting in terms of storytelling. Studios don't take risks anymore because it might cost them money. There are some people out there who's outrage is a bit misplaced but they are not the majority.
