I noticed it says volume 1 so it may be appear in a future segment but I was surprised since they mention it from time to time as one their favorites that the Atari/Denny's/food/game/tie-in "scandal" wasn't included. What this does show is how much natural chemistry these two have giving character to so many other topics, whether minor, major or off beat, such as shady eBay sellers, state of current or classic gaming, supposedly lost or rare game discoveries, their holiday stories, or Ian's game store tales. I've been listening to them for years due to this consistency and honest, whether I do or don't agree with some of their critiques and will definitely continue to do so.

Well played guys, I’ve only watched the first three clips, but I laughed as much during the Free Bin story as I did the first time I heard it. And growing up with a 2600 before we convinced my mom to allow us to buy a NES, we had ET, and it got played a lot. In the spectrum of Atari games, it’s an obtuse puzzle, but certainly wasn’t impossible. Especially if compared to the multitudes of LJN licensed NES games that would come out later; which played like crap and were just completely unremarkable.

I had E.T. for Atari as a child. It was by no means the worst game for the system I owned, and in many ways was ahead of it's time. It's not a simple plug-and-play game...you REALLY need to read the manual to understand it, witch I did when I got a little older. When you DO know what you're actually supposed to do in the game, it becomes VERY playable. It still has some bad mechanics (getting out of the pits most notably), but it tried to be something more than just an arcade game, which was rare that early in video gaming.

I agreed with the sentiment about Jimmy Kimmel's joke since at the time I was in the same boat about not really enjoying Let's Plays (nowadays, I will occasionally watch them if it's a game I'm interested in and am on the fence about purchasing it). Concerning Conan's Clueless Gamer: yes he picked a convenient time to get on the Let's Play train, though I feel at no point was he trying pass himself off as a "gamer." Early on, he pretty much stated that (like Kimmel) he wasn't into video games and purposely made himself into a buffoon (as stated in the title of the segment). With that, I appreciated his perspective - especially on some of the more ridiculous portions of certain games (ex: FF15 having a driving simulator with you having to push it at one point). Of course, I suppose that's what the segment on Jimmy Kimmel was all about was not judging someone on their perspective as well as their personal likes/dislikes.
