I feel like Lewis has shot people in the middle of rezzing multiple times in the past because "OBVIOUSLY the actual paramedic should have no problem announcing what they're doing". Then something like 28:00 happens.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the giveaway in this situation was that Lewis had just checked Duncan's corpse and saw that Duncan was the paramedic, meaning that Zylus couldn't be. The kill was all about Zylus' claim, and that's why Lewis was relieved shortly thereafter that Zylus wasn't a jester.
