IMPORTANT: There's an issue with freshly created class trials where they can't enter the Iron Docks initially because they use the same code as freshly boosted characters. The solution is to park the trial outside the instance, log-out, come back a day later, should work fine then. DO NOT try to enter the docks as soon as you create one as this creates a very unpleasant flashing effect-this could cause seizures in individuals prone to epilepsy.

Yeah that's an interesting element of the dungeon. Sadly the rare only spawns after the first boss goes down which eliminates the entrance trash till the next day so doing the two things is mutually exclusive.

In my opinion, with the sheer amount of old raids that are now in the game, i think that running those is way more efficient from a raw gold/hour perspective, if you have multiple max level alts. Small instances like Throne Of The Four Winds, or bigger instances where you can vendor like Siege Of Orgrimmar could be considered as alternatives if you hate the tedious process of farming the same dungeon.

Hey - Nice Vid - Running Isle of Giants is a great way to make raw gold as a hunter you can vendor pets for 60 gold and the taming drop vendors for 37 gold I make a ton of raw gold this way

Decided to try this at my own speed. Took about 3 minutes per pull, kill, collect, and reset. Chatting in guild and disc in between. After 10 runs I got: 1486g 59s in half an hour. That's raw gold plus vendor trash. I also got 20 greens and one blue. The blue I put on the AH for about 500g, the only other one on there was for an astronomical 5k. So it should sell. All the greens I threw on the AH for 99g buyout. Everything comparable was, again, in the thousands. If everything sells, for half an hours work, I'll make 4k. Doing Mythic blackrock I'd make 3k for around the same time investment. It's not bad for what it is.

Quick question on your math though (or maybe I'm just dumb, lol).... but you say you can make about 200 gold per run, and after hitting the instance lockout (10 runs) that amounts to approximately 2000 gold. Then you say it's about 12000 gold per hour. How is that possible? It may only take 10 minutes to do this, but you can't run it 6 more times (unless you use an alt). So wouldn't the gold just amount to 2000g/hour?

Thanks very much. It is 12000 gold per hour invested. So we aren't counting lockout time. I generally say "time invested" to normalize it with farming per hour opportunities. There's a number of reasons why this number is useful other than comparison- many people for example often just play for quite short periods when they have a moment (this is literally how I farm generally, it gets boring for longer periods). That said I understand how it can be confusing, I'm actually composing a video specifically on how to work around lockouts right now. I'm open to alternative suggestions as how to represent the numbers-the problem here is that if you just count the profits per lockout then you create the false impression that the farm is basically a waste of time since no one is going to do a gold farm for 2k an hour, which doesn't represent the true situation.

Yes I'm still playing actively. I have to search for stuff on a daily basis for my patreons, that is what they pay for. It is like 8-16 hours a day six or seven days a week. I think what you mean is would I be playing wow if I didn't have to? No, I would have quit years ago. I got interested in exploiting primarily because the game didn't offer much challenge. This was back in cata. I don't find the gameplay as bad in bfa as most people seem to, though it is VERY buggy (not in a good way), but I don't really experience the game in the same way so it isn't my place to say.

I’d imagine this is a bit like alpha and early closed beta testing. There I would perform an action or complete a single quest, then fill out a report before moving on to the next item. It’s the opposite of an immersive rpg experience. Basically, it’s your work, which may be more enjoyable than other means of employment, but the focus is completely different.

Yes it is often like that, but you also have to remember that anything that accessible would of been found by the millions of regular players, so often I have to do really obscure quest chains/rep grinds/etc so it is more immersive than you might think-the difference between the game and the exploit sometimes blurs in the mind and it feels like a glitch is your actual "reward" for competing some epic quest or achievement. I am firmly of the opinion that exploits in-game provide a huge amount of free player-created and player-tested content that Bliz could use to their advantage if they had an open mind-which they don't obviously.

Default method of farming would be herbing/mining - however even herbs/ore can be difficult to sell on some realms (or this video couldn't possibly have been this successful, it would get 10k views normally). Battle pets are very lucrative in gold per hour terms, more so than almost anything, but try to find a buyer right now-I often put high quality pets on high pop realms (they can be sold cross-realm) and don't get a single sale for weeks. Btw I'm not an expert on gold making, exploits are my thing, you might want to try wtbgold, he occassionally gets carried away with this numbers but his info is rock solid. Also, bregvids for flipping (a very powerful strategy), studen albatroz for farms, sharken808, umren (good for very weird off the wall stuff) give very good info, there are other good sources you'll find if you search which don't come to mind right now.

How can you do a run per minute in Seat of The Triumvirate? It takes at least a minute to gather all the enemies. I can do a run in about 2 min 45 sec from zoning in to zoning out as a prot pally. Am I missing something for not being able to do it in a minute?

I'm using "best case" scenario figures because that's how everyone does it and I have suffered in the past from using more conservative estimates. That said, 2 min 45 does sound too long especially for a prot pally. Even my undergeared fire mage does it in well under 2 mins. You are taking "Last Defender" right? Could you perhaps break it down for me (how much is loading time, trash gathering, dps, vendoring) and I'll see if I can find out what the problem is by recreating on my own pally.

There's a quest on the mission board for pandaria - go to the hordeor alliance keep/cinematic/cancel, fly to portal, take fp to TI, enter cave fly to iron docks. Alternatively if you play mage just learn the teleport spell for stomrshield and get fp to iron docks.

It sounds like you have "heroic difficulty" on. Bosses do not reset instantly with heroic difficulty. Try changing your "dungeon difficulty", it is in the same ui area as where you reset the instance.

@Sacksid Well.... to be specific..... "heroic" dungeons have a daily lockout that typically resets at 2am realm time. Then the "mythic" dungeons have a weekly lockout that resets on Tuesday (or whichever day of the week your region resets the raids) . Meanwhile, "Normal" mode dungeons do not have a predetermined lockout. However.....relatively early in Vanilla they realized that people were going to certain dungeons that had rare mobs or treasure chests or other randomly cycled contents that sometimes appeared and sometimes didn't...and they were constantly running out, resetting, running back in to check for when these things might appear.....thus ruining the entire reason that those things were random in the first place. So at that time in Vanilla they added an across the board limit on the number of times you could reset your own instances to 5 per hour (so the timer for your hour started the first time you reset instances) . Then apparently a few years ago that overall limit was changed from 5 to 10 per hour.

The movement speed is the problem there's lots of running and endless corridors. IMHO to make that efficient you need a dedicated speed set. Also last time I checked the mechanics of some fights were not appropriate for gold farming efficiently. That said by all means do what you enjoy and are equipped for.

I've been running these for months and they take a ton of time, depending on your class. Mobility toons like druids and monks fair much better than warriors (which I use). Mythic Blackrock for instance can take 15-30 minutes depending on how well geared and mobile you are. Heroic and normal are cake, but still take awhile. You could end up investing a lot of time this way, and it gets dull. Quick.

A majority of farms out there are based on time spent actual doing the farm not how many in game hours you spend getting there, waiting for lockout timers, so forth and so on. If you do the tour of LFR raids in 30 minutes, do you figure in every hour after that until the raids reset? No. You calculate by how much time was spend doing the farm. He could have used gold per 24 hour day if he wanted. It's just an example, in the first place. What you use it for is filling in the extra time with other farms or activities as you see fit. At the end of the day it's still 12000g per 1 hour spent of farming.

The first dungeon, "seat of the triumvirate" with all the dark blue mobs, takes about six minutes to complete. And, if you kill the first boss, then you can't farm the trash any more afterwards as it won't reappear when you reset, so you should avoid doing that. The two minutes figure refers to just pulling all the trash around the first boss, killing it, and resetting.

oof. Iron docks has a bunch of mobs you can gather up really easily on the iron star area that yields a lot of loot. I always do that so I have to wait less time for the instance lockout.

Yeah a lot of people do that and it is a good idea if you have lockout issues. It is a slight loss in terms of gold per minute invested relative to just doing the first boss but it is quite marginal.

Iron Docks is a Draenor 5-man dungeon (level 90-100 zones), it's in the northern part of Gorgrond. That entire expansion began with a very linear questline intro where you start your own base, I have no idea how you'd go about getting there if you used the free 110 boost and have never leveled through that area. My favorite Cataclysm raids for grabbing some quick gold are Firelands, in Mount Hyjal (Kalimdor), and Bastion of Twilight in Twilight Highlands (Eastern Kingdoms). Firelands is a big open area you can mount up in, gather piles of mobs, AoE them down, leave, and reset. BoT isn't a mounted instance but the first room is chock-full of mobs, and hitting the 10-run lockout on that takes just a few minutes.

actually you don't get a garrison any more i used an old one for this vid-but you don't need one, just create your class trial, best class is a mage, then port to stormwind, go to pandaria-timeless isle-cave port to draenor-fly to iron docks.

Still have this on my 112 Hunter rank 3 legion bag though I make more hexweave bags than anything else. 8 bloods per bag with free mats from Legion might still be worthwhile. My better alts save bloods for the blacksmithing mount.

Btw I'm proud of that (hugely popular) video, but I should add that the spirits of harmony you get from mogu'shan vaults and hof have plummetted in value probably due to aggressive botting activity. I'd expect the price to recover (I bet my whole gold supply on it in fact) but for the time being you might want to focus on other opportunities if you need gold instantly, since spirits are selling for a fourth of their normal value.

It's an "effective gold per hour". So basically he's saying that with 10 minutes spent per instance lockout it's an effective 12000 gold per hour. 2000 gold × 6 (6 10 minute intervals in an hour) = 12000 gold. Hope that makes sense.

Tyvm, Need gold to make Panthers, orbs are 20k. Am sitting on a sky golem. Or I could keep as raw gold. Am quite depleted after using most of my balance to make the free Warcraft 3 mount purchase. Also, 2 rogues on my main account, weekly may still be viable, EoA. Iron docks also should be able to drop the ah parts on alts with lv3 garrison lv3 trading post, if I recall correctly. I forget if that needs to be mythic. Holiday event is coming on the 17th also. ;) I bought up some of the AH parts, may keep or resell those. AH on medium-high seems mostly fine except too many sky golems competing, raw gold may be preferable. I might dump that spare sky golem when the new raid drops. Either will just buy tokens or craft a ruby panther next, 20k per orb though. Wasted 30k on the new horses and am mount collecting until 8.1.

I may add another easy dungeon (or more explicity a raid) to this list: Hearth of feat 25 HC; there is a LOT of trash before the first boss, and on my runs I often get about 120-130 raw gold, 1-2 MoP crafting recipies and on average 9-11 Mote of Harmony. And yes I know that you mentioned Raids in your other Vid (kzbin.info/www/bejne/iavXgaymo8Z8hck) but hey, better save than sorry ;-)

There is also the fact that the gold deflation of BFA took a lot of expendable gold people had. At the beginning of the expansion prices were through the roof with the mission table gold mine that we had and now that there is not really a steady way to make gold other than sales many customers have started to close their gold vaults and become very frugal with purchases. Hell, I bought like 45 tokens all together in the first month of BFA and have barely put a dent in making back the gold spent.

@@archvaldor Certainly some botting on full high pop realms, Stormrage and A52, possibly Tichondrius also recently having spirits as low as 90 g per. People have been speculating the bots are/were back a good week ago. I'm not sure if the sky golem market has had botting, but the supply has doubled in the past month or so, halving the price on many realms. Some people are also quitting until 8.1/new raid. The mission table was an amazing gold source in Legion. I did make 4k off emissary on 2 120's yesterday but that isn't as passive gold making as the mission table and raid/dungeon farming may still be faster/easier.

Yup professions normally exceed the returns of raw gold if you have an active auction house. You have to bear in mind that "no professions" is one of the strongest keywords to get traffic for gold videos on youtube, a lot of people just hate them. By all means do them if you enjoy them.

CAUTION: Using class trials in this manner is not only bug abuse. It is a bug abuse that has a major impact on the game economy. You can get your account permanently banned for that so I wouldn't promote the idea of using class trials in any manner they are not intended to be used. Even on the down low. Great video otherwise. I didn't realize you could make so much gold with those two dungeons, will definitely be parking some toons.

While in theory you are correct Blizzard have never actually banned any one for ct exploits to my knowledge. Bear in mind also that you can't do these runs any faster per minute invested with ct, though you can bypass instance lockout. That said, doesn't hurt for people to be made aware of potential issues.

Love the vixx advice that's a good way to mix farming and the toy hustle.

Have you done it recently? It was heavily nerfed. I hate dpsing down thirty mobs and seeing no sparkles. The bosses drops are still OK if they don't glitch out, but it is quite a big instance.
