I did this sound mixing for a sound class assignment in my Film School. This is an opening scene from the film "8 1/2" by Federico Fellini and is considered to be one of the best opening scenes in the history of cinema. (My Favorite)

Fucking amazing sequence. I remember watching this film for the 1st time around 20 years ago, and I was immediately impacted by the magic of the dream-like style of Fellini, this sequence and this whole movie. Also really recommend the watching of City Of Women and Amarcord.

@@janetmannis8042 Even though eight and a half is my favorite film of all time a touch of evil is definitely in the top 10. Few things have given me more anxiety than the opening scene to that film lol It's perfectly directed.

Of course it’s great as most everything by Maestro, yet do never forget the opening of the Touch of Evil (funny enough: from the same year) All you see before the firs take has been shot once. (Considering on the schedule’s planning one Hollywood week has been foreseen.

Best opening scene in the history of cinema? Give me a break. Its just strange shots and focuses. David Lynch is better for that kind of stuff. I can think of dozens of movies with better opening scenes.
