My wife and I have done very little with corned beef hash in the past. After watching this video however, I think That corned beef hash might be a good addition to the camping recipe arsenal. This recipe looks to be a good one.

Thanks again, honestly in terms of simplicity and taste this has to be the easiest meal that I have done, I think it's a classic from a long tie ago, be interested to hear if you like it, though I guess different brands or from different areas might taste differently, cheers for the comment, Chris

My wife and I went for a bit of a hike a couple days ago and being inspired by this video, we took a can of Corned Beef Hash. We added the corned beef hash to sauteed chopped onions, bell peppers and eggs. Forgot to bring with us a USA variation of your "brown" sauce known as A-1 sauce. It was quite good but not real flavorful. We hope to try this recipe again soon using the A-1 Sauce. All in all we were very pleased with the way it turned out and looking forward to trying it again in the future with a few tweaks to better suit us.
@northernembersoutdoors10457 ай бұрын
That's fantastic Lonnie, so pleased you tried it and as you say a few tweaks to tailor make it to your tastes, I've not heard of A1 sauce so had to Google it and I have found that I can get it here😎 so I will try some. The addition of eggs and peppers sounds great, more of a meal, thanks for trying it out and letting me know and also for the kind words, awesome comment sir, thank you.

It sounds like “Corned Beef Hash” is a Universal meal enjoyed by many people groups around the World. You’ve definitely challenged me to buy the separate ingredients and then cook. 👍👍 ,,, on the Onions, I most always use sautéed onion. Mostly I’ve bought a can complete, and added the onions. Looking forward to Receiving my Firebox Cast Iron,,, Blessings from Virginia, USA

Yay! Can’t forget the onions 🥳👍. I remember my dad par-boiling the potatoes in seawater instead of salting them when we ate this when camping. More likely referred to as ‘Stovies’ in your adopted part of the world though (also chuck in whatever leftovers you have from the last meal too, whatever it was)🏴😊

@northernembersoutdoors10459 ай бұрын
That's a great business idea right there😎. I could see myself camping lightweight up a stormy cold wet mountain heating a bit of that up! I wonder if it would work.
@LezleysAdventures9 ай бұрын
@northernembersoutdoors1045 short term storage would be fine, I imagine there's some fat in the cornedbeef, any home dehydrated food I keep in the freezer even if it's vacuumed packed, as a business the food would endup expensive with overheads, health & safety kitchen, makes your head spin.
