Firebox Freestyle Stove // 6 Cooks in 6 Environments

From the Mountains to the Coast we cook in 6 different environments 6 different types of meals using the firebox freestyle modular stove along the way. What a stove, interchangeable to suit your needs this one was fun.
I have been to so many different places it's been a joy, always gaining experience along the way, always making mistakes too, but that's what it's all about, getting out there and appreciating what we have.

Hello Mr. Embers! Just to show that we're doing our homework this is your most ambitious shoot to date and it's cinematic. You just keep getting better at your craft. I dabble in video and I couldn't tie your shoelaces. I won't go into the menu...that could be a video all on its own. Two observations... You continue to have knees of steel and especially in this vid...fingers of asbestos! Wow!!!! Your mainest fans in Alabam, Norm and Vicky.

Hi Norm, another great comment, thank you for the kind words, I always wanted to do a video like this where I went from mountain to coast and the freestyle paved way for the opportunity to do so. My fingers are so used to dealing with fire now I never even really think about it. My knees however are becoming troublesome so I really need to get a kneepad, I edit out the bit where I grumble when I get up 😂. Being someone who makes videos myself I can see just how much effort you put into this! You do such great work! Your shots are set up so well in your editing is graceful. So very enjoyable in every way you do excellent video work Chris not to mention your cooking skills and how you handle yourself in the wilderness. Top job my friend!

Thanks Steve, thanks for sending out the freestyle, top product and I love it, I think the firepit 6 or 8 are my favourite setups, such a joy to use. In all I've done 8 cooks so far and I think it's awesome, here's a funny thing though, I missed using my firebox g2! Ha, I'm so spoiled as to what to use now! So I better get it back out! Nice idea for a video and some good meals there Chris. Sauce on black pudding? I never thought to do that because I always think of black pudding as a breakfast thing but it looks like a good idea. I have started using Firepit 6 with a sandwich sized ziplock bag of charcoal. Set the grate above the feed ports and there is enough to do a meal, whatever is left of the charcoal kickstarts a wee campfire if the wood is a bit damp.

Thanks Paul, sounds good, I quite liked the firepit 6 to, sounds like you have it completely sussed out. I like the idea, and also they are great for a wee campfire eh. I know it looks like black pudding but that was haggis and I added a peppercorn sauce, difficult to tell as I wasn't speaking, haggis is heart, liver and lungs of a sheep, doesn't sound too nice but it is ha ha, cheers Paul

We're gonna fire up some deer chili tomorrow. I'd love to know if his venison is from one someone got or bought in a store. (Not sold in stores here.) Deer hunting there is a complete mystery to me.

Hi Rob thanks for watching. Good spot, the bag is a Highlander 33. To be quite honest it's become my go to outdoor cooking bag, it's lightweight, sturdy and has a good amount of pockets, I really love it, now that you mention the 44 I think a slightly bigger bag would be great.
