Haven’t found better. The time distortion is OP. I’ve had a base there for 3 irl days. Did 20 levels of grinding to pay off all the skill bars I met the challenge to unlock but couldn’t level up with skill points… lol. I’m from an old epic SWG crafting guild so leveling exclusively thru crafting is a pretty awesome method here. Although for a pile of credits I’m going to build a base on that radioactive resource I found on Androphon. Sells for 8cr/ unit, which will pay off much better for purely cash making reasons. Best part is, while I sleep on Bessel IIIb, the rad farm will fill up too. So I’ll craft then sell all those parts, then go sell the rads for even more credits. Should only have to do this maybe once or twice more. Lol. At level 40 it’s back on the quest lines.

I cant believe I actually found the location too. I was really beating up on myself because this seems so simple and I thought I was doing something wrong.. but with enough careful clicking, I found this exact spot. Definitely quicksave and quickload in space right before you begin so you dont clutter your map with icons. You can tell youre in the right landing place when you leave your ship, and maybe 1km to your southish there is indeed a large black mountain, and to the right is what looks like a salt flat with these weird looking rock cups in them. Ive compared it, and I need to stress that the landscape in my game is probably 90% the same as the one in the video. The mountains are SLIGHTLY different shaped and there is a POI structure near the mountains in my game, but if you land and there are no black mountains ~1km away from your ship, reload. Dont waste time looking all around. My base like the one shown in the video is 700m away from my landing spot by those very same black mountains and those cuprocks. Pause exactly at 4:08 in the video- thats what you are looking for by your ship: black mountain to the left and those weird rock formations to the right. No mountains and rocks? Reload and try landing again. You CAN do it! ALSO pcbros, nexusmods has a mod that lets you zoom in further on the planetmap: /starfield/mods/1778 I tried a bunch of times but I found the landing zone on my second try once I could zoom in more for pinpoint landing. Consolesisters, Im sorry.

I went through the same struggles as you and actually found it much earlier than I thought but couldn't find the exact spot because I thought the mountain was too different. I was wrong. Found it again the next day after about 20 mins of clicking and reloading the save but unfortunately got a little unlucky with the iron vein as I can only fit one extractor not 2 :/ as its right on the edge and that stupid dead coral rock or whatever it is was in the way. But nonetheless BE PATIENT and click carefully to anyone reading this.

Just as a tip for future videos like this, try to record during daylight hours to give better video to see things. To others trying to find it, a few keys: Quicksave before you land so you don't get a ton of landing spots on the map. I had originally landed on the other side of black mountain, and walked all the way around it. This location will not show up if you don't get the landing spot correct from orbit. Not sure if that's a bug or if that's how Starfield is meant to be. If the spot you land doesn't look like 4:08 - 4:22, reload your quick save and try again.

Nice glad to see more are catching on too this location saw the exact same thing from Vash Cowali 3 days or so ago when i was looking for a good outpost location, it is a great spot and you get a ton due to the whole time different so it is a insane amount of "material" in 1 hour you get of sleep in the game.

It is so much material. Thanks for watching.

gawd finding that location has been a nightmare. I set-up two out posts on that planet and still couldn't find all those elements and I threw in the towel last night trying to link them and get all the elements for it. I keep missing both Aluminum and Iron together. I will try again later. Good job explaining the difference in locales and the color codes on the ground.

I watched Vosh Cawaii's video and really appreciated the stellar information. But i appreciate so much that you specifically mentioned the mountain tile to land on because that would have saved me the 5 hours it took for me to learn it by myself. All the deserved credit to your video and his. Also be careful with the beacon placement everyone. It will say you got all 4 of the resources but turns out if you are like me, it doesnt really indicate how much you get of a resource vein. I have one resource in my circle that is just a sliver in and only enough for one thin extractor lol. Edit: you also covered that in the video. Fantastic. Sadly i was too far gone with my outpost to replace my beacon.

@AlexAre0 Жыл бұрын
@gamlok moving the beacon sadly doesn't move the radius of the outpost. I was saying the issue I have is that my outpost circle only has a sliver of the vein for a resource.

First off I am on console, I haven't yet found the sweet spot on Bessel III b. But, I have found a number of locations with only Iron and Aluminum which is more than enough. I put 2 extractors on each mineral deposit. Plus each extractor has 6 storage bins. if you sleep for 3 hours you will have enough minerals to make 3800 adaptive frames and you get 108 xp for every 100 frames you produce. So you will get a little bit over 3800 xp. If you start your out post at level 4 like I did, you reach level 10 in less than 5 minutes. I do not put the frames into the storage holds on my ship I simply drop them on the floor. That way to don't have to worry about maxing out your ships load capacity. Now I sell everything in New Atlantis. There are 5 vendors you can sale to. First take 1666 frames to the kiosk at the spaceport, you will get 4998 credits there. Then take 15000 frames to each of the other vendors one at a time. Buy over 45000 credits of Ammo and throwables as they are the costliest at the beginning of the game. Then sale your 15000 frames, netting you 45000 credits. If you still have frames left over for sale. simply go back to your ship sleep one hour which is equal to 2 UC days. Extractors and vendors are work on UC time. So all the vendors are now fully stocked up again, and repeat. It could not be easier.

Good quality, good advice, good information. A surprise to be sure but a welcome one! Thank you for not only a helpful video but for the clean communication and commentary. Its incredible the difference it makes! Just restarted the game after I was dissatisfied with how my first playthrough was going and wanted to refresh my memory on outposts. I found your video and I am glad I did. I saw some people saying you were a veteran. If that is true I want to thank you for your service and sacrifice both on here and out there. ❤

Worth mentioning that you can move the beacon after it is placed. I did this on my Andraphon farm to get optimal placement for a 5 element location. When I dropped it initially, it was only just barely kissing one of the elements on the very edge. So after going through all 5 extractors and identifying which way I wanted to shift, I was able to pick it up and shift it a few meters one direction for ideal placement.
@geneticjen9312 Жыл бұрын
Strongly recommend you do not do this, especially if you're going to put in quite a bit of effort. There's a common bug where moving the beacon within your set area makes the game crash whenever you return and try to use your scanner or any build features. So you can never ever make any changes to that outpost, unless they fix the bug I guess.
@danielworden Жыл бұрын
Good to know but I did what NSFWHarold mentioned extensively on my first base until I got a Fe/Al/Be sweet spot and 100 hours later, and countless modifications to that base I never had any of the problems you mention./@@geneticjen9312

My experience was that it didn't change the radius location. Maybe I was not paying enough attention. Thanks for watching!
@kjmagnon Жыл бұрын
I got the same result. You can move the beacon but the radius is locked in once initially placed.@@sgtsylver
@cretinousmartyr3522 Жыл бұрын
Yeah you have to entirely remove the outpost beacon and set up a new one, moving it around will just move it within the radius already set. It does change where the spawn - in point is though, so if the finally added buildings that you could place taller things in, you could spawn in a building someday. Right now the best is to put it on top of your airlock and have your airlock near your landing pad so you can get to either area you need quickly after fast traveling there

My one problem with this outpost is finding a place to sell all the adaptive frames I make. My best/fastest seller combo has been in the Valo system, Polvo planet, Hopetown. There is a kiosk when you land, and the Trade Authority guy in the bar. Together that is 16k worth of selling.
@sgtsylver Жыл бұрын
Nice. Does the gun merchant buy adaptive frames too? Thanks for watching and the support!
@jonathanmueller9062 Жыл бұрын
@@sgtsylver Turns out yes. He has 4500, the kiosk has 5000, and the Trade Authority guy has 11000. I haven't checked the bartender but they usually only buy aid items so this is probably the best you can do early in the game that is all really close together. New Atlantis does have more shops but they are way more spread out.

Quick tip for anyone having trouble finding the place. Pc only. If you are landing in general area but still can find it, use console command player.setav speedmult 2000 or any speed you want. 100 is base it just increase your walk speed so you aren’t wandering around for 2 hours like I did.

I did know about this site before this (though not by much, only a couple of days ago) but one thing that did take me some time is getting the landing site right. I messed up twice even though the guide I learned about this from said he got it the first time on two characters but it left me with a landing site that was in the way. If you do place the landing site wrong is why I assume you said to save your game, but you can remove landing sites. Placing an outpost beacon right near the ship and then immediately picking it up with remove the site from the map once you launch and look at the planet map again.
