Building a KZbin a channel in 2021 is gonna be difficult. You're gonna fail, post videos that get no views, and you'll be slow to get subscribers. However, the biggest mistake you can make is quitting. If you stay consistent, if you work hard, and if you put our quality content, you'll have no choice but to grow. Let's smash out 2021, yeah? 💪🏻

Having both cameras clamped to the table can’t be great for vibrations/shakiness. This rig decoupled on it’s own stand would be pretty cool though.

If this doesn't suit, then try the Glide Gear, overheard extension arm. $70 in the US and £50 in the UK. Just add it to an existing tripod and balance it. I balanced it with 2 bottles of water in a bag. Took some great overhead photos, my profile picture is the picture.

When doing an painting video and tapping on a canvas, what will prevent the table from wiggling causing the camera also wiggle also???
@fazalelahi3042 Жыл бұрын
One thing that you didn't mention is that the camera will always be shaking because it's attached to the table and everytime you put your hands or something on table, it will shake.
@MNDRCKVisuals3 жыл бұрын
Great setup for an overhead rig. But sometimes, with a desk setup like that, a little vibration from the table will shake the camera.. so if you're doing unboxing videos, keep that in mind.. another alternative is having a boom arm attached to a lighstand.. its out of the way and it's not attached to the desk. That's what I did with my videos. Pretty easy and it's under $100. Check it out if you're interested...
@AndyThePyro3 жыл бұрын
Was thinking the same thing while watching. You can actually see the camera moving on multiple occasions.
@MNDRCKVisuals3 жыл бұрын
@@AndyThePyro right? I mean I think its pretty cool since you can have a secondary camera at the bottom or an external monitor.. but attaching the mount on the desk can be tricky since it'll vibrate
@creativitymatterspodcast3 жыл бұрын
Yeah... I wish this didn't require clamping to a table. I considered a light stand for overhead and was looking at c-stands but never sorted out the best approach -- seemed like overkill for cellphone recording.
@switchunboxing3 жыл бұрын
Well good thinking. I was actually looking for something like this like an arm but like you said, vibrations can mess it up so I think I just need something to come out of a side stand or something. Currently I use my tripod for unboxing videos and it does get in the way

2:54 Looks like when pick up the box and set it down on the table the overhead mount jiggles. Doesn't that screw up the footage?
@MNDRCKVisuals3 жыл бұрын
Yup, that's the problem with the overhead rig setup that's mounted on a desk, especially when you're unboxing stuff. I suggest using a boom arm extension mounted on a lightstand.. thats what I did with mine.. you can check it out if you want.

Hello. I thought I asked this question before, but I guess I neglected to hit the comment button. I am trying to film in my very small kitchen. I have a tripod which is quite heavy duty. I cannot connect anything to the counter top which is actually a stainless steel counter height table on wheels; reason being is that the camera will shake from any activity done on the counter, like using the stand mixer. I can't afford an expensive setup atm, so I am wondering what would I need to convert the tripod into a stable overhead camera rig? Thanks!

I agree about the tripod legs when inverting my tripod. I ran into that challenge when shooting a dissection video with a full grown adult sturgeon. I didn't mind the legs being in the way that much with a small fish but it. was a giant pain and had to go completely hand held for the big fish. Definitely going to look into this solution. Looks like it can get cleaned easily too!!! Thanks Omar!

I dont recommend any tripods that are adjusted on the same table you work on. When the table shakes, everything else shakes too. I have a very stable table, but still whenever I switch pens, that little movement makes the table shake... I prefer having the tripod or holder or whatever one is using adjusted on something close to the table.

The problem with this setup is that any table vibrations will translate directly to camera shake. In my view if you are filming something top down where there is movement/motion (i.e. drawing), you'd probably be better off with a c-stand counterweighted with a sandbag, keeping the whole rig away from the table. At least that's what I've been doing.
@sleeprightsounds70123 жыл бұрын
You could also clamp it to a small shelf mounted to the wall behind your station, like some streamers do with mic boom arms behind their monitors to eliminate audio vibrations.
@EricDoggett3 жыл бұрын
