I love the set options on these. the make up on the 14 piece set is what most people should play. The 11 piece looses the 3w, 52, & 60 while keeping the rest of the set the same. I think that's also a great set for anyone looking to save a little bit on the set, a new golfer those are the 3 clubs they would or should play the least. I've seen some other incomplete sets that give you the 3 wood and drop the 5 wood, if a high handicap golfer is using only 1 wood it should be the 5 and not the 3.

@@heuristix77 I would say it's not worth saving that $100. It would be hard to find them later and no one would buy the set used. Later when you want those clubs you would just have to buy a full iron set where otherwise you could play those irons for much longer.

Just bought these at Scheels in St. Cloud MN. Impulse buy sort of because I hadn't heard to them but the kid who worked there highly recommended them and seemed to know his golf. So looking at reviews ex post facto. Glad to see they have good reviews. Will be fun to use them. I admit that I was mostly drawn to them because they look like a stealth fighter transformed into a golf set. The competing clubs sets looked silly by comparison.

Aaron - have heard a lot of people say the finish is not that durable and starts to wear off after a few rounds. How have they held up for you thus far?

@@stephencopeland9950 They have held up very well. I carry a sand wedge that I don't care about for the bunker as I know sand will scratch the finish. The current version of the black finish uses diamond-like carbon (DLC) and is very durable. The old version of the black finish, from the V1 clubs, was more of a paint and it would come off easily. But if you are worried about it, Stix now sells a set of clubs with standard silver colored finish on the irons and wedges

Although not designed for the more serious golfer, l have been impressed by the standard of a few package sets I've seen so far. The stand out being the Taylormade RBZ, set. So I have these clubs on order since December 4th 2021. And I’m still waiting, it’s March 18th 2022. They will Supposedly be here next month. I’ve waited for atleast four months. Customer service isn’t the best. They had prior issues with their clubs and sent them back to the manufacture. No One notified me about the recall. Hope everyone has better luck than I do.

Hi Gabe, another great video. I am considering changing my irons. I have never hit a hollow body iron. Are they as forgiving as cavity back irons? Here in Thailand, Decathlon sell the Inesis 500 set which are well priced. Have you tested them? At my age now I feel that I need a more forgiving set of irons .

Brand new golfer here. Looking to order the Stix set. Taking lessons to learn grip and technique etc. I saw there are 3 sets. 14,11, and 9 clubs. For a brand new golfer who is learning the game and will definitely spend more time on the ranges than playing rounds for a while do I need the 11 or 14 set? The 9 seems like a good set to just go out to the range.

Hi Chris, great question and there are probably at least two schools of thought on this: 1. Start uncomplicated and worry more about the fundamentals than the gear. 2. Learn from the beginning to hit every shot and learn why certain clubs require certain mechanics. For me, I'd say the first option is more appealing and I opt for less clubs, but there's no wrong answer there. Not sure if that helps, but hopefully gives you something to consider.

I have the driver and had to stop using it because of a slicing issue. The stiff graphite shaft is not the way to go if you are slicing. It just makes it worst. Had to go to an anti-slicing technology driver.

Yes I addressed it toward the end. Certainly black coated clubs will show wear on the face, just comes with the territory. Will give you a good idea of where you're striking the ball though for sure.

You were a little erratic today. It happens. I've seen other reviews of the set and like you most of the reviewers have been impressed with the clubs. At about a thousand dollars with tax they aren't cheap but it is a complete set and you won't be hunting for wedges or a decent putter so it is an overall good bargain. Personally I see this as a set for golfers that are just getting beyond the initial stages and want to improved their clubs without dropping 2-3 grand on a premium set of woods, irons and wedges. I'm curious about the OLDMO hat though. Is that company because the urban dictionary had a different meaning to the word.

The best club I hit are the hybrids they’re insanely accurate and actually make great contact with great loft. Love my stix!
