I have a 110 mph swing speed and I only carry around 240-250. But I have been in the fairways more so I can’t complain. But I would think i could hit it farther.

If you want to check that: There’s a carry optimization chart where you can check swing speeds to optimal carry distances. It’s really cool. Can be found on Google fairly easy.

@clow242 do you know what your AOA (angle of attack) is? That SS should be flying 270+ all day. My SS is roughly the same and when my swing falls apart and I'm hitting a negative AOA, I see a really big drop in carry distance.

No it's not when you have a higher swing speed. Your swing speed doesn't fit the Chrome Tour X. LMAOOOOOOO..... You are "NOT" seeing the potential of the ball. A Kirkland could fit you also. No disrespect. You have like a 230-240 carry with a driver & you don't compress the ball to see what it's made of. That ball fits your game.

You seemed shocked that Sam's club was made in Indonesia but the Kirkland is also made in Indonesia. I'd be shocked if they don't come out of the same factory. I literally have a Footjoy leather glove that has over 300 rounds on it. I do have a package of Kirklands that have been sitting in the package for over 6 months in my bag waiting for the FJ to fail.

As with everything golf, prices are going up. I don't care what a glove looks like as long as it fits properly, gives me a good grip, and lasts a decent amount of time.

I remember how people with skill could pull balata balls back on a green like they were a yoyo. I also remember how people without skill (me) could cut the covering with ease. That was closer to 40 years ago, when the ball technology was starting to change.

Great video - I personally am done with subscription models. Imo it’s crazy what these monitors and softwares offer as their subscription prices. The pricing seems targeted towards fitters, professionals and businesses, not regular golfers. Because of this, I went with a Mevo+ and lifetime ownership of awesome golf. I owe $0 annually forever because I straight own the monitor and the software. Putting on a simulator is always wonky, I felt that was unimportant when considering. I also like that this setup is completely portable, I can run the software on my iPhone/ipad, no internet connection needed, and the mevo+ has a built in battery.

On some brands, the rubber bands were wrapped around a non-liquid-filled center which bounced like a super ball (who remembers those) before the super ball was invented. We kids loved those. We used to cut through the outer cover with a hack saw and then unwind the rubber bands. We were disappointed to find a center that had a liquid center, as those didn't bounce as well...just for those of us who lived near a golf course (and found lost balls) remember.

The covers on those older balls were prone to splitting...if you hit a wedge thin you might say to a playing partner, "I put a smile on that ball." Balls with a split cover might "whistle" when sailing through the air. Nice that modern balls are a little more resilient! Cheers for this video!

When I go to Garmin's list of 43,000 golf clubs, it says contour and update. First of all, what does that mean? How can we be sure that this one is playable at home using the Garmin R-50?

As I'm currently well endowed with a lauch monitor and have reached the point where I hate hitting balls and only play golf courses, I'm wondering if the 43,000 stipulated courses at St-Georges de Beauce and Beauceville in Quebec Canada are part of the inventory. This is the only condition that will allow me to acquire the Garmin R-50 Thank You for the answer Alain Jacob

Love the review! Been watching a ton of reviews on Tokomo, Sub 70 and Maltby. I'm leaning toward these TS3's, but am a 12 handicap. I see most people that play these are lower handicaps. Should I maybe look at something different? Looking to get into the single digits in 2025 and compete more!

I don’t have problem hitting the sweet spot on a consistent basis. My problem is distance control with longer putts and tend to draw my putts just 1/2 a degree or so. Also lately been missing 3 footers if I am not paying 100 attention in keeping grip pressure in check. Will these putters help me.

Not the best option for lefty & righty players especially if using a projector. Not only do you have to move unit back & forth you may have issues with cord where projector plugs into unit. Also that sim software looks like 2004 Nintendo graphics compared to what's available from other vendors. For $3K I think it would be great. Not sure how many they sell at $5K. Prices continue to come down as more devices are available than ever before.

Hey Gabe, another good video. I have one question that hasn’t been answered anywhere. When playing home teehero is it possible for me to set a view that shows the entire flight of the ball from the players point of view? I really don’t want to be sitting behind the ball flying through the air and landing on the fairway somewhere I wanna be able to see the shot shape that resulted from my swing from where I stand the same way I would on the golf course. Is that possible on Home Tee Hero?

Biggest misses for me for this device is: - No way to control the screen via the Garmin app. Seems like a no brainer as having to bend down all the time to interface with the unit when it's common place to have input devices at standing level with other sims/units is the norm. - The product is in a pricing category that I think still didn't need to be explored. The marketplace is SCREAMING for a sub 2k optical unit that doesn't drag you down with limiting built-in features to a subscription. Now that the R10 and the R50 exists, I really really really hope Garmin comes out with a R25 that fits between their two products. I'm using an older Flightscope radar system and really want to upgrade to an optical system that works both indoors and outdoors so I'm a bit shit out of luck atm.

Can you hook it up to an iPad via Bluetooth or usb instead of hdmi (I’m a coach)
@DurangoLegend
@DurangoLegend Күн бұрын
I think you have to hook it up via usb or wifi (not sure about wifi). I am going to try it tomorrow and I can post back here how it works. Bluetooth is only for speaker output right now. Computers and iPads hook up via usb but I also heard that wifi can be used. All it does is send the ball and club data to the iPad which is running Awesome Golf or E6 connect iPad version. My understanding is that E6 connect is not working yet but coming soon.
@DurangoLegend
@DurangoLegend 20 сағат бұрын
As it turns out you connect to the Garmin with iPad via Wifi. The Garmin sets up a hotspot and then you connect directly to that with the iPad. Works fine except I had issues with stuttering in the shot animation videos. I sent a report to Awesome Golf support so hopefully will hear back on what might be wrong. Having looked through their faqs page for Awesome Golf it looks like my problem might have been being connected to my internet while also being connected to the hotspot. I guess the Garmin maintains a connection to your network and Awesome Golf can see it on the network but Garmin wants to be connected via hot spot only not via network connection. Having both connected may have caused my stuttering issue with video.
