Finding this wonderful video from your short link. Great info! Just know that needs to have permission for launching a kayak 😂 never happened in Ontario. Happy New Year. Greetings from Canada ❤

Thanks for watching. In most parts of the United States you can just launch a kayak no problem. In the state of Pennsylvania, our state parks have free admission and so they charge you for the launch permit if you want to kayak within the state park. I guess it's a small way for the park to make money for park maintenance. That's great that you don't have this in Ontario!

It really depends on how windy it is and if you're kayaking on a lake. This was pretty perfect conditions. Hope you're having a good weekend.

I guess it would depend on how you define near Philadelphia, but I would go French Creek, Noximixon, Ridley Creek. But generally speaking you can't go wrong with any PA state park!

I made my list by putting center city Philadelphia as the starting point and then going from there. But you are right, Philly is a huge area, and depending on where you are your travel times could be very different. We love French Creek and Nockimixon too, but they came a bit too far over the about an hour requirement that I kind of set for the video. We are lucky in a way that in this part of the state we have lots of great state park choices!
