I know this is a candle channel, but you mentioned your soap and hearing about making soap would also be fun. By the way, is that you playing the guitar at the beginning of most of you videos? Hi Cheryl!! I did do one on my favorite Christmas tree scents-have you watched it? I have never sold at a market so I am not able to give tips but I do plan on it in the future. My degree is in keyboard-so I play organ and piano. Love and light💛🌱

You’re so kind tasha!!! My favorite is Sugar Cookie my Candlesandsupplies.com. For a true vanilla I’d check out Vanilla bean my Nature’s garden-I have not tried this myself but many people have said it’s a true vanilla.

I have used both soy and coconut waxes. I was using TW-26 which is no longer available,so I’m looking for a back up wax as well. I currently use Apricot Coconut 🌴 wax from Candle Supplies. 😀

Hi, your videos are very informative and I do appreciate that! If a wax manufacturer has a higher max FO% recommendations than the FO manufacturer, which one would you go by? Wax manufacture or FO manufacture?

Hi there! Thanks for your kind words. Great question! If you want to use the max amount of fragrance possible for safety and for your wax, you would go by whatever the max for Category 12 says on the IFRA Certificate which your fragrance supplier must, by law, have available to you, and you could use up to the amount your wax manufacture says your wax would hold. Hope this helps!

For example, if my wax can hold 12% (according to my wax manufacturer ) and IFRA Category 12 for Candlescience’s Mistletoe fragrance says “100%,” then I could use up to 12% of that fragrance to be IFRA compliant and to use the amount that my wax could hold. Hope this makes sense! Please let me know if it’s not clear.

Just look at each fragrance individually because they’ll all have different max percentages for category 12 but *most* will be very high, so the limiting factor is usually what your wax can hold according to your wax manufacturer.
