L'Aimant by Coty. Very inexpensive, but a lovely, classic scent with notes similar to Chanel No. 5. Cabochard by Gres. It's strong, so I have to be in the mood for it - but also very affordable. And I finally bought myself a second-hand bottle of Chanel No. 19 EDT. Love it! :)

I was never a huge fan of Shalimar, until I worked as a Promotional Rep for Guerlain in the early 90's. It was still the #1 fragrance for Guerlain back then and it was the main one we promoted. As I had the whole line (yes I love the EDT too) I was doused in it every day all day. I came to really appreciate what an incredible fragrance it is! Even though back then, it was already an 'old lady' perfume, I was in my early 20's selling it and wearing it. If it came out today I feel it would break records for it's superior quality! I also think if it came out today it would be a niche gender-neutral fragrance.

My favorite vintage find of the year, was finally getting my hot little hands on my love from way back when FRACAS, by Robert Piguet. I used to sell it in the late 80's behind the counter and had not smelled it until last month when I bought it from a private seller. Yep, that's my baby Fracas!! Great video!

Hello Luke and Merry Christmas from PNW 🌲 🏔️ 🌊 another beautiful video. My discovery this year was perfume😂 but like everything else, I've put in the research and landed on La Lique Le Parfum and recently acquired a vintage bottle of Knowing. But the end of a year trying designer, niche, vintage, et al. I've realized my skin carries the classics best. My nose is developing and ambroxan is becoming quite shrill to me and it's used in practically all popular new fragrances. Thanks for all your guidance and reviews. Wow thanks for the heads up on that Venezia!! I just looked it up and it starts for $120. from the WHOLESALER!! I'm so sorry, I love Shalimar but I can't stomach Chantilly. Hi Luke!!! I have the Chanel #5 vintage perfume too! I like it, but It makes me physically ill, but the Cologne version my mom used to wear was heavenly and the first fragrance I fell in love with as a child! I've had so many versions of Chanel #5 since, but I can't handle any of them except for that Eau de Cologne they used to make back in the day! Even their modern cologne versions are still too strong for me! It's like I'm in love with this perfume but it's hidden behind a glass window that I can never enjoy! LOL!!🤣😂😭😭😭

A few discoveries I sniffed but don't own are: Dyptique Orpheon EDP Lancôme Lavandes Trianon Oh and of course I'm not getting this name exactly correct but it was a Geurlain Exclusives with Gardenia in the name.... it was so amazing smelling but sadly didn't last. Dior Bois d'Argent I won't be buying any of these but they were all unique and very special!

I have Shalimar EDP EDT Extrait and Cologne and love them all, including many of the Shalimar Millisime Flankers. Love them all, but the EDP is my favorite.. it’s very powdery and sensual. When I wear the Shalimar EDP, many times, people ask me what I am wearing. Merry Christmas 🎄 Luke.

I got some Alyssa Ashley perfumes very cheap and I love Vanilla, Amber Gris (also sweet, but not gourmand) and Musk. Musk is a crowd pleaser, everyone likes this lovely skin scent. It is a kinder version of Jovan Musk, I would say more floral, anyways, it is pretty. You have put Shalimar edt and Dana Chantilly in my wishlist

I plan to buy a 200 ml bottle of Coco Mademoiselle Intense before the end of the year and the price goes up. I have made a discovery recently. I VASTLY prefer classic fragrances to the latest gourmand trend. I think they are elegant and sophisticated. Really...what's sophisticated about smelling like a marshmallow or candy? Fun, perhaps. Classy and sophisticated...nope.

I have to tell you that I used to work for Guerlain as a promo rep in the early 90's and when Samsara came out I was promoting it and wearing it and it is the ONLY fragrance I ever wore that had MEN crawling out of the woodwork to ask me what was that fragrance I was wearing!?! They chased me down like four times to ask me that! Of a ten year period of working on and off in the fragrance industry NO OTHER FRAGRANCE I ever wore had that affect on men! You have good taste!

I’ve tried a bunch of common and niche fragrances but none that really knock my socks off. I did see that Rochas one but it sounded like it might be too sweet. I like Femme by them. Stinks that some of my all time faves are no more. My mother had Shalimar years ago, not a fan. I do like vintage scents and have quite a few over the years.
