I always disliked Estee Lauder and Avon fragrances. I thought they were heavy and stinky.

I just bought a dupe of this one and I just love, love it!! Which surprised me, because I thought it would be similar to Angel, which I struggle with, and cousin to Youth Dew, which I don't like. But no. Grounding and sexy. So happy with my purchase 😊.

Don't listen those who say they are stinkers. they're snowflakes. I also were You dew in bed. My other favorites perfumes are Diva from Ungaro and Femme de Rochas. Obsession by Calvin Klein and Habanita are also very powerful.

I really appreciate your review and perspective. Miss Dior Cherie was my first fragrance and I remember loving it but I hate I can’t remember how it smelled since it was years ago. I remember caramel and I think it was A sweet floral. I really am enjoying this one and in recent years I have not been moved to buy any of the others. If this had rose in it, it would have been better.

It smells so powdery and sweet, I can’t imagine it under the high heat, but in breezy cool western European summer may be may be😊 Anyway it is very beautiful, like Lou Lou on Prozac having a chill day with her besties.

One of the oldest perfume made by Chanel called Bois des illes. It is soft oriental with almost photographic Mysore santal essential oil smell singing with the orchestra of other wonderful notes. It’s not as famous as No5 but it’s truly stunning. One day I’ll buy it despite it inhumane price

This one is strooooong, happy, voluptuous, very sweet, wonderfully sandal woody and fruity, ambery and horny) That musk in the base mmmmm….

Vintage tocade smelled to me like Gulab Jamun, Indian rose syrop sweets. Very very tasty. Even I’m not a gourmand lover.

Vintage Paris is quite aldehydic and transparent. Back current=cassis in French.

Violet and rose made me love perfumes when I was a child. It smelled sooo moody and enigmatic to me. Like watching Coppola’s Dracula for the first time.

Tresor is so violet heavy. I’m a fanatic of 90s violet-hiris-sandal perfumes. Because every one was talking about peaches and roses, I have tried it so late.

My favorites from 90s are (so many😂) Musk Villoresi, Gala Loewe, Versace Versus Donna, Tresor, Tuscany by Aramis, Safari by Lauren, Fragile by Gaultier, Feminin D&G, Secret Datura MPG, Feminite de Bois, Bois de Violette Lutens and Yohji Yamamoto’s Yohji(so rare so beautiful if anyone knows something in this genre with that kind of deep wonderful base, please let me know)

Diamonds and emeralds is a favorite of mine. I think it’s sweet and aquatic at the same time for some reason. 🤗

I come back just to say that out of curiosity I checked the release dates for both Cabotine and Tendre Poison. Cabotine was released in 1990 while TP in 1994. Therefore I strongly believe that Dior made somehow a more elevated “dupe” after Cabotine. Probably that is why it was discontinued (is just my assumption) but I supose that even back in time people could start to notice the strong resemblance between the 2. Nowadays is nothing unusual for a house to copy another house perfume (see La vie est belle by Lancome copy of Flowerbomb by Victor&Rolf) but back in time I guess it was not very ok and correct.

I remember at that time owning, and thoroughly enjoying wearing, Gucci Rush, Dior Dolce Vita, as well as Gucci Envy and Lancome Miracle, which weren’t mentioned but were very popular at the time. Such a delightful video, thank you, and your descriptions were excellent.

I’m so waiting to see if you have the original Body Shop vanilla oil from 1991. It was the best vanilla ever made! There will never be another scent like it, I have searched since they discontinued it😔 I then wore Angel by Mugler as my signature scent. I still have the first bottle.
