I have smelled everything on this list except Issey Mikake, but I don't go for oceanic fragrances (I am one of the few women who do not like Light Blue or Aqua Di Gio). I feel like I need to smell Narcisso Rodriguez again because I wasn't a fan the one time I smelled it, but lots of people love it. Alien is the best Thierry Mugler fragrance, imo. I would have placed La Vie Est Belle higher, but overall this is a great, safe list.

BurgundyandBlue1111 I am with you on Light blue. I have Issey Miyake now and it has not grown on me. Aqua di Gio is okay but I would not buy it. Narciso Rodriguez scents I never got. Smelled them sever times and never got it. Recently bought a purse spray set on clearance, sprayed it on and still didn’t like it. About 30-1hr later I was in a cloud of lovely ness. Bought a big bottle. (Narciso by Narciso and Narciso Poudree)

Alien was my signature smell ages ago, Narciso for her a few years ago. I was thinking about vanilla in angel, although I loved Kenzo amour with his vanilla. Lovely review as always .La vie est Belle really constantly gets compliments.

Alien smells nice on other people, but I put it on me and I suddenly smell like someone wrapped a grandmother in latex. The chemistry is so individual! But I like this list, I agree on the ones I have tried and you've filled me with the desire to smell the Issey Miyake dupe.

Most of the perfumes I agree with you, they are really the best, solid ones, except Coco mad. and Issac, not my cup of tea, I would put Allure instead of CM or Coco original, N5 and Shalimar, even when I think that Shalimar is too strong and intense, it gets so many compliments :-).

A very 'safe' list. I'd encourage you to live a little and go niche. My picks: Diptique Tam Dao, l'Ombre dans l'Eau. Chanel Bois des Isles, Coromandel. Guerlain Apres l'Ondee, Mitsouko, Cuir Beluga. Dior Dolce Vita, Diorella. Malle Portrait of a Lady. Musc Ravageur. Etat libre d'Orange l'air de Rien.

Personally I would love to try niche perfumes. I also appreciate reviews like this because these scents are accessible to me. I don't have any way to smell niche fragrances beyond buying decants.

D&G light Blue Intense is great and lasts long but D&G blue is so crap at lasting, and can barely smell it after 20 minutes me thinks. What a rip off! Lol. Glad an intense version came out though

Chance is one of my top favourites and, guess what, I'm 74. There's possibly a little confusion about perfume and age. Although I'm sure that the younger you are the more you'll like marshmallow, cookies and sugared fruit drink smells.

I have Alien & L'eau dissey. I love Alien and all Thierry Migler fragrances. L'eau d'issey is good but I find the melon note makes it very synthetic and i have Aqua di goia as well and I think aqua di goia is much better than L'eau d'issey it's just my preference. I have Angel but the eau de toilette and it is one of my favourites. I have Narsico Rodriguez eau de parfum not the one mentioned in this video , it is very powdery but I still love it. I don't have Jean paul gaultier classiaue but I have their scandal and I just love it. Over all the list is good my kind of fragrances. Thank you . Need to buy coco mademoiselle. I have Chanel No 5 not a big fan of it so never thought of buying another chanel fragrance

Idk how Black Orchid is on this list. It’s the only perfume that’s ever made me almost throw up in a store. I wouldn’t say it was safe at all. It’s very very strong, and could easily give someone a migraine from a single sniff. Be careful

Thanks for the info! I can definitely appreciate your list and the fact that you included scents you dont personally care for but do understand the fact that others would! With that said, lol unlike some others that have commented I actually LOOVE Light Blue. However, everyone I know like literally, everyone, wears it. I have recently made trips looking for a new scent simply to jump off the 'ban wagon' so to speak and try something new, but I cannot seem to have success. Im definitely not a floral person at all. Love vanilla, but don't care to smell like a big cookie either lol. Can you suggest similar to Light Blue? Something clean? I don't mind heavy at all. I do really adore their scent but it's time to try something new. Thanks!!

@Lyndsey Denton If you haven’t already, try Jo Malone, her fragrances are absolutely AMAZING. They all have the body wash, soap bar and body lotion. These fragrances are NOT cheap but they are well worth the money, a little goes a long way and their staying power is astonishing. I purchased Pomegranate Noir, Peony & Blush Suede and English Pear & Freesia plus the body washes and body creams. Molton Brown also do some WICKED fragrances (eau de toilette and eau de parfum) with the body wash, hand wash, body oil, and deodorant available to buy also. I purchased Gingerlily, Bushukan, Fiery Red Pepper, Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel, Invigorating Sumo Ginseng and Vetiver & Grapefruit. Again I purchased the body wash, hand wash, body oil and body lotion. They’re also not cheap but a little definitely goes a long way. I hope my suggestions are helpful 🤗

My body chemistry basically says no to Alien, to Angel, to Issey...however I recently discovered a real gem which I really like and lasted about 10 hrs! Its called The Key by J Bieber. Very affordable. Another beauty is Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille which smells like a combination of whiskey, vanilla and spices.

Could you do a review of JPG Classique Essence De Parfum? After reading some reviews, I decided to order this - convalescing after surgery meant I couldn't shop in person - and I've fallen in love with this fragrance. I don't like Jean Paul Gaultier Classique cause it is too strong, even if I put one spray. I would say replace that with Jean Paul Gaultier's Scandal or Jean Paul Gaultier's Classique La Belle which in my opinion, is not as strong and sickly sweet or heavy like the classique. And just use one spray and see how you go and if you want more then add. As it is strong enough.

I have Chanel. It was an impulse buy. Not for me, can't wait to finish. But first time ever in my life, people compliment on my scent. I actually stop strangers passing by on the street to compliment or ask what I'm wearing. Unbelievable. In that sense it worth the money. Personally, too sweet, too cheap-commercial scent.
