George, you have time year round to enjoy those Americanized food and sauces when you're at home in the U.S. When you're in another country, just enjoy the native food of that country and however they prepare it. That's the point of traveling is to try and enjoy new and different things. Don't complain too much that stuff are not good just because it's not the way you are used to. You sort of have an attitude of an entitled, egotistical American who thinks the American way is the only or "right" way.
